Unsocketed runes is lost?

Hi,
I just unsocketed 4 runes. 2 legendaries and 2 rares. I got better gear and I also had new runes, I wanted to upgrade 3 of 4 runes for new optimal runewords.
I unsocketed the runes from my wepon and helmet. Now they are gone!!!
I have checked everywhere, in my chest and bag all of the tabs.
Have I missed some info here about loosing the runes when unsocketing them? This kinda sucks because now I cant make any new good ones as I lost the legendary runes.

Does anyone know or is it an error?

I’ve lost runes three times now. Apparently it’s a bug and only affects some people but not others :frowning:

Just wanted to chime in that i have also lost gems twice from unsocketing them from equipped gear. Not that i dont have gem fragments, but the 10M cost x 4 is annoying.
