Upgrade promo bug!

Hi there,
I have already purchased the Standard Edition, and I’d like to upgrade to the Ultimate Edition. However, the 65% promotion is not being applied to the upgrade. Right now, upgrading costs more than buying the upgrade from scratch, which does Not make sense…

Why you go around insulting people like this?
They want to make a purchase of virtual items. The game is that too.
It’s not for everyone. It’s not supposed to be either. If it was, then the business model would fail.

You got the full game, as you point out, so you don’t have to pay more. Others want to stand out as premium customers so they pay more for the experience of looking the part. That’s valuable and, I suppose, the reason to make this half-mmo.
There’s many more games catching onto this trend that’s been running for more than a decade now. Now it’s getting more pronounced than it has been in the past. There’s this game: Where winds meet. It’s free, all content up. Kind of a grinder, I think; Dark soul-esque.
You can buy outfits in it. There’s this gacha where you can win the most expensive outfit, which can cost 42k€ at the most. A hefty price but you can get lucky and it’s not too outrageous for the most interested of players.

Realise people pay to stand out. There’s nothing strange with that. And there’s nothing strange with paying for a premium experience. It’s you who’s strange.
Expect more of this. Free games, only thing you do is pay for looks. It’s coming in strong.
Supposedly that’s good for someone that feel they don’t need extras.

But you’re right that D4 is a full price game on top of purchaseable cosmetics. (But that’s something projected, something I infer you are saying; not something told directly as you seem to believe your entire meaning should be infered just the way memes are.)
Which is something I think won’t work eventually. Like subscription games doesn’t really work anymore.
But I don’t know. What works work. Stop insulting people randomly. Are you against people? Or are you against a business practice? You could’ve managed your critique much better than this. No need to get angry and insultive, it’s counterproductive and it reflects poorly on your person.

On topic: I agree that it doesn’t make sense. Others complain about it also. They should do something about it immediately.

cool story, plant op.

Imagine going around insulting customers to scare them from voicing their concerns.
What a little tyrant you are.
Don’t want to be that to you but I don’t see how I can avoid it, seeing how you conduct yourself.
If you have a problem with how this works, write it down and post it so we can talk about it. Don’t go around insulting people and drag them into your complete delusions, that’s terribly rude. This is a forum to voice concerns and you are fully allowed to do so, so do it. But not here, onto a stranger that is voicing theirs.

You can’t reason with these people. They are just projecting their own bitter lives onto others, to make themselves feel better. Imagine having so little going on in your life, that you still cling on to one, in their mind, bad 70eur purchase, two years later. Just flag them for trolling and move on, nothing good comes of trying to reason with them.

Those guys should get the Citadel Treasure Hunter achievement: Collect 100k citadel coins.
The perfect pair of titles: Regarded Customer.
That’ll show 'em how they really feel!

Disclaimer: I’m sorry, I had to taunt. Truly, I apologize; I just can’t help myself sometimes and it makes me a terrible and unforgivable person, I know.

Hilarious, bunch of cry babies reporting comment because they got butt hurt. Stop simping up to the cash grabby corporations. Morons.

Continue with the insults,

idk what others did, but i just blocked you cause i don’t want to read offensive nonsense.
notably, you know yourself that it makes sense to report you; so why do you continue?
every corporation is a cash grabber, it’s an inherent flaw to capitalism.
i think this that you buy cosmetics rather than power, in games, is a megatrend. not sure if it is classified as one but it’s taking over, it seems. you don’t really stop megatrends by feeling they’re wrong. they’re happening for reasons. and i would believe that people think it’s fair with cosmetics costing money but not power, and that people like to be a bit more special than the other guy and are willing to pay for it, and that people in general think that’s fair.
then you can think that’s stupid or vane, of course, and you can curse about that these items should be in the game by other means, and i would agree, actually. and i’m sure something like that is coming, at least in future games. balance must be struck and it takes time.
