Suggestion, At the moment we cannot upgrade Uber items, but what about if you got 2 or more of the same uber item, then we could sacrifice one to add +1-5 (roll) on one affix of your choice?

You can absolutely upgrade your Uber uniques and add sockets to them too. Armors and weapons you upgrade at the blacksmith and jewelry at the Jeweler.

I don’t think this is the reason for the suggestion. It is to add/increase affixes using other Uber unique items as the crafting material source.
Not a terrible idea. Minor upgrade from a very rare item that is of no use. Nothing game breaking but at least you get something from that rare end game item that dropped instead of selling it for gold.
My thoughts exactly and it would also keep you invested in Duriel summons.
