No point even with subscription. Whether it’s ps+, voh+base game whatever. It does not support.
What’s more it’s other bugs on couch coop that has been neglected for donkey months and months.
I logged in just because of this topic, my wife and I also can’t get through the citadel, we have one ps5 and we were very upset when we saw the ill-fated message in the center of the screen, people! Let’s blow this topic up so that a group of optimists can see it!!!

If you look at the crashes on PC, that are so obvious, even a 5 minute playthrough would’ve shown the issue, then one cn only conclude that the team is heavily understaffed. And since they’re continously putting out fires and fixing their fixes, even if the community liasons are reading this (I have the distinct feeling they’re scared of the forum), then I don’t see this high up in prio unfortunately.
But one can hope.
Nothing better than purchasing a 100 dollar game that’s advertised as local coop, that literally crashes when P2 joins and the actual game content isn’t compatible with local coop. Certainly false advertisement. I wonder if this and the coop crashes has anything to do with the QA development team walkout over RTO.

Based on some of the comments above, us couch coop on console seriously need some help for us to really continue to enjoy the game with our close friend/wife/bro/sis/gf etc… If you need us to get two base game and two expansion, I’m sure a number of us wouldn’t mind if that’s Blizzard model to make the most of it.
But don’t just limit us. It’s just sad to see an AAA title going down this way.

Absolutely agree here.
We were looking forward to do the DC, until we found we couldn’t even enter the zone as couch coop. No popup notification, nothing. So one of us logged out, and the other was able to explore.
Ten minutes later I got to the puzzle room, and couldn’t progress at all.
So here we have a couch co-op game, with a co-op specific mode, that is not only locking out couch coop players, but that goes further and requires PS+ or XBL to complete.
This is absolute horse $hit and pissed us both off so much we just stopped playing.

Got same issue here. Love couch coop with my wife… But very disappointed atm.

I’m way behind on this but my husband and I are extremely disappointed as well. We paid for our accounts separate and ATM have to play on the same console together. It’s extremely shitty that they left this out of the marketing.
