As per title. I am now maxed level, paragon 120 both myself and my wife too completed all the quest.
Relogged and whatever, but wait… Was so excited to try out dark citadel together only to find out that the Content is not supported for local coop??
Never did you guys at Blizzard mentioned anything about it. Is it a bug or? Do we really not get dark citadel with local coop supported and partying with strangers?
Hopefully it’s a bug that’ll be fixed soon.
I have the same issue. My son and i play together on my PS5. I’m not spending $100 just to put it on my laptop so we can run DC. Blizzard needs to figure this out. Hiding this from us prior to launch feels like a setup. I paid for an xpac expecting full access to the content.
If they want us to have other people as well, fine. But no access at all is not acceptable.
Totally agree with this. It is clearly stated across all communication that it is meant for players of 2-4 and there is no where mentioned the content is not for couch coop.
I ain’t got any additional console to go playing the game on nor that I plan to do so. We were so looking forward to finally have a raid like coop gameplay on VOH but this felt like a cheat.
Hi, me either, feel scammed, please blizzard fix this asap ! Firts the cosmetics were not coop shared, and now can t do the citadel with my wife ? You should warn people about it, so the know what they spend their many for!
Yeaps. I actually bought both the base game during beta and VOH expansion when it was just announce for our accounts. Not even sharing.
This is super frustrating, just by having a feature that you can see but can’t play it. The whole point of couch coop were just simply neglected. Not good blizzard.

I may missunderstand this but 1 person per account and if you want another account you need to buy another game licence for base and VoH or play base game with gamepass
We’ve bought separate licenses for both accounts playing on the same console on ps5. Both base game and VOH as well.
Same here! This expansion is getting worse and worse… loot is not working in undercity, citadele no option for coop so what should we do, play helltides? I didn’t need an expensive dlc for that!
Yep super frustrated this was not stated prior to the expansion dropping. It’s not great to design and advertise something that cuts out part of the community to begin with. But if you are going to release it knowing a part of the community will be excluded you should tell that community up front rather than getting everyone to purchase and then letting us find out AFTER launch something we looked forward to was not available for us.
This is almost as frustrating as having a bug where couch co op players encounter a glitch where the attack speed bonuses do not work properly. One that was not even acknowledged for over a year until a viral reddit post made it impossible to continue to ignore. This still needs to be addressed and there has been no update beyond the “we acknowledge this is an issue and we are working on it” it was hoped we would at least have a status update by now.
This was very frustrating when my wife and I went to do this as it was new content but we play on the same device in local co-op but this seems to be blocked.
Local co-op is I would think a large percentage of players and how can you add an element that of a game that is blockde from players ?

Absolute dog crap. The Diablo series has been couch coop since the start minus the abomination of d2.
So then you build the game for couch coop which has many bugs like having to repeat portions of quests to finally get to the awesome addition of The Dark Citadel. A 2 person or more COOP as said in the blizzard game highlight…

Get it fixed and let us couch coop people who paid for the expansion enjoy the game… if it wasn’t ready for release then you should have held it back. If it was never going to be a couch COOP mode then you should have been truthful because it’s not COOP … it’s single player MMORPG on single console with 2 accounts and 2 expansions and 2 TVs.,.

I just wanted to share my experience with Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred for PS5. I was super excited to dive into the new endgame content with my wife in couch co-op mode. However, I was shocked to find out that local co-op isn’t supported for the Dark Citadel!
It feels like the developers completely glossed over this crucial detail in their marketing. They’ve been hyping up all the new content, but they never mentioned that we couldn’t play it together on the same couch. As a long-time Diablo fan, this is really disappointing.
We were both looking forward to conquering the Dark Citadel together, and now it feels like a major letdown. It’s frustrating that such an important aspect of gameplay wasn’t made clear from the start.
Just a heads up for anyone else considering this purchase: check the co-op options before diving in. Hopefully, the developers will address this oversight in the future.
I play on PS5 but haven’t been able to try the couch co-op.
Question - does it have split screen? Or are you both on the single screen?
Asking because if the game doesn’t have split screen functionality then you couldn’t complete the Dark Citadel anyway - it requires the party to split up to different areas of a map or even different maps.
This may well be the reason it’s not supported - they would also have had to add split screen functionality which was not within budget/timescale or maybe some technical reason.
Assuming if this is the reason couch coop isn’t supported, it’s somewhat understandable, but I agree it could and should have been made clear.
Console co-op is shared screen.
A couch coop duo can join with 1-2 others currently to do dungeons and split up. The others can even be another console duo.
Doesn’t seem hard to require a console duo to need 1-2 others to enter the citadel if they can’t do it themselves due to game mechanics.

This is some serious BS!! Couch Co-op is how me and my husband play together… The fact we can’t do Dark Citadel runs after spending 
for the fun VoH expansion is RUDE beyond measure! Foul Play Blizzard, Foul Play!
I also feel that this was a big mistep not taking this into consideration. My hope is that they will replace whatever mechanic that is blocking this ability so that my wife and i can play together on the same couch and enjoy teaming up with strangers to raid on our Xbox. We want to play too. Dont leave us out please.
A number of us actually paid for two copies of base games + VOH expansion because we do enjoy the game, at times we can just ignore the fact of numerous issues/balancing/improvements that needs to be done, most of us or at least some of us wouldve gone through the phases of D2 and D3 which made the game brilliant in the end.
But this is totally unacceptable, to the point of us as loyal players with bnet accounts dated when WoW started, D2 days etc… Were being misled to believe dark citadel is available for with minimum of 2 players. It really hurts us as loyalist of Blizzard and the Diablo series. Utterly disappointed with how it was all managed.

I agree. We should have coop in this mode as well. My wife and I can not play this mode, so I feel bad.
but when I play solo this mode has some task that need to be separated, with coop we still could do it, just like in the vampire season, need some more time to queue those tasks.
So please bring coop to this citadel
So is this gonna be adressed or were we just scammed i only play this game wih my 2 sons and we were very excite to start the dark citadel since we did most of all other activities but lord behold doesbt support local coop, what bullcrap and anti consumer.
Can a mod at lest make this more visible so maybe it can be patched.
