Why?
20 days ago the first Hardcore players saw the cracks in the game.
Now the casual audience is starting to feel them.
You won’t please anybody thinking like this. Except if you want the campaign to be the whole game.
I’m baffled how Last epoch is just better in so many ways while the team and money is a fraction of what blizzard has.
I also heard that it’s the first time most of the people in the team works on an arpg? You wanna end like Halo? getting people who don’t like the game ? this feels like it.
They have a road map, and little by little they say something so that not everyone disappears at the same time.
We already know that they knowingly omit information, what happens is that they were never so brazen as to take your money and spit in your face like this.
So… you’re saying it’s bad business to target the product at the larger audience and they should instead limit their market share and focus on the weird HC Hero shut-ins and streamers?
You’re claiming “casuals” could care less about the state of the game because they’re “casuals”… what fresh bigotry is this?!
I consider myself a “casual”. I tend to be quite picky about where I spend my “casual” dollars. Why would the inane whining of those who consider themselves to be “True Hardcore Hero Fans” count more than mine?
Being weirdly obsessed with something doesn’t elevate someone to some unassailable position of authority. It just makes them weird.
That’s a really weird way to interpret what i said.
so No i didn’t
my claim is that Hardcore players will see the cracks first. nothing more
casuals will play slower and maybe complain a month later. (while the company thinks they did well)
If you cater to a “wider audiance” you know the leveling must be fun, the mid game must be fun and the endgame must be fun.
Here we have most ppl complaining about 1-60 sucks on every class except rogue and endgame is not even a thing yet.
Few hours ago,i boosted friend in some NM’s ,he linked some cool items he got, they are exactly the same as mine in stats,he was level 60 i am level 100.
In a way, yes, it is damaging, because the casuals don’t know what they want, and all of them wants something different that appeases their reality that doesn’t synergise holistically with the longevity of the product because they want it now, at any cost.
Hardcore players are more in tune with each other and know what a good ARPG looks and plays like.
Ultimately, at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter, I half expect Microsoft to make some changes that will make someone angry.
