So, I tried to make my wolves hit as hard as they can. I got my Wilds glyph for the 80% passive damage, the wolf skill is at lvl 16 (+4 pants, +4 head, +3 necklace), +3 Call of the Wilds passive, 28.4% Companion damage on the body, 29.8% on the pants, 16% on the necklace. 2-handed staff 813+25 with +200% wolf damage aspect that also makes the wolves werewolves, not that it matters for this test. Also, +30% damage for all companions on the necklace. I keep Bestial Rampage up for the pets, damage (Debilitating roar) and attack speed (Blood Howl).
As the result, the tooltip on the passive attack of the wolves says 27300-32100. So, they supposed to hit mobs of my level for 32k, right? Wrong. The max I saw them hit was 7.3k. Considering the fact that all of my gear is invested into this 7k damage on the high level content is a joke. It takes over 2 minutes for the wolves to kill an elite.

Wolves seem to be broken right now. They just aren’t coming close to their listed damage. People are reporting that they are getting at best 20% of tool tip damage, at worst less than 10%.

I think its the same with the ravens… tooltip say the damage is good but if you take a look at the real dmg is like 10% of what tooltip says.
I’m a bit late to the party, but I think the tooltip is the damage that all wolves combined would deal if they attacked at the same time.
To elaborate with simpler numbers than the OP - if you have 2 wolves and the tooltip says 100 - they will hit for 50.
