Are you joking? This is finally a return to the good Necromancer we all love and remember from Diablo II and not the weird auto-summoner from Diablo III. This is the best the Necro has felt in many years. Skeletons, Mages and the golem, it’s optimal. Surely there is room for improvement, but getting the classic necro feeling right again was the first box to check for the devs. Refining is part of the development cycle nowadays.
Idk why any clowns are hearting this comment, is has nothing to do with what OP said.
Are all your posts in this forum like this? because literally no one said that but you.
Absolutely bro some of the people in here are extremely low iq, never understand what the post is about, and just flame and troll…
Fully man, like they said we would be able to from the beggining…
For me i really like the Melee necromancer fantasy…and unfortunately…there is only 2 skills i can choose from for that…
Really devestated about these skill twigs they have given us
After all there marketing and claims, 10 years of development, friends and family alphas+betas+playtests+ CBT im shocked the game made it this far the way it is…
Completely unbalanced and complete lack of build diversity and choice…
Necro was fun! I was excited about unlocking new skeletons and then realised I couldn’t mix and match… and then figured because it would be really OP to have 2-3 skeletons that soaked damage and then a bunch who did a tonne of damage. It’s pretty balanced all things considered. I can go with a melee build and have them watch over me, or a ranged/defensive build and have them clean house. It’s a good tradeoff.
By most OP you mean the easiest toon by far, dont you? While other classes need some skill to do something, necro is smoking while pets do the job and kill mobs fast compared with others classes.
I don’t know what the OP want or if he ever played LE. Noone and their grandma is playing mixed Necro summon builds. There is always 1 kind of skeleton on kind of mage and one kind of golem because you need to scale them. Then again it’s foolproof like D4 set it up but it feelsbadman when some people compare it to a different game without the slightest clue about said game.
On the other hand it would’ve been nice when the spawned minions look different from each other and we might be able to spawn some different models some with boots on, another one whith a helm or an arrow poked into the eyesoket and stuff like that.
definitly that. It isn’t necessary to mix defens and offense melee-skelettons. You CAN mix melee and ranged skelettons. (this wasn’t realy possible in part 3, since the mage was a short-time-summon.)
But different models adds just to the immersion. (and parhaps it will be so in the full game?) Even D2 had that.
I’m the odd one out then as I am having a blast with necro in this beta. The only time I have died getting to 18 was during a world event and my pc saying nope.
Yes I read what you said. Multiple types of skeletons getting mixed is not really an issue in my book. Why would it be? Yes of course it would be cool to have more flexibility but why is it necessary? No reason to call that “completely failed the NC”. Because that’s just not true, the NC feels finally like an NC should and not like that weird non-NC from D3.
The balance is irrelevant, it will change with the flow of the times. Balance is as quick as changing some values, design is a different matter. I don’t have any opinions on the design, but people quickly jump to balance.
I see another issue with necromancer, the stupidest thing they made is giving player free skill at the beginning without necessity of any upgrades, you just get four skeletons + mages + golem and some free possibilities, for just leveling up your character so whatever your build is you always can have undead army at your "comand’ (sacrifice does not look interesting to me compared to minions).
Solution i would accept is having dedicated summoning skill tree (as 1st or 2nd) with skeleton warriors, skeleton mages and some new ones like wraiths as auto-target skill and ghouls/zombies that walk forward and can have synergy with blood/corpse skills so necromancer could be something more than just skeleton army leader (offensive skills needs to be nerfed and golem should be ultimate skill).
So my conclusion is Book of The Dead is trash, it look like made in hurry, and should be replaced with something new.
