I read multiple threads about this and there are a few defenders of the current setup.
So here is my question to those people, what would prevent you from zooming in as much as you like while also allowing others to zoom out and enjoy the game?
I play summoner necro and i cannot see half of my skeletons as they f-ed off beyond the edge of the screen somewhere ALL THE TIME. It’s really unpleasant and it cannot possibly be that hard of a fix. You already have the system in place to zoom in so much you can see each individual hair strand inside the characters nostril, soo why not just allow the max zoom out to be a little higher?
Ps. Thanks for making me pay $90 to look at a login screen, best money spent this month.

It’s weird that some places are more zoomed out than others. Just keep the zoom the same as when your mounted and it would be perfect!

As much as I agree that the game is far to zoomed in, can you inagine the crashing and disconnects or errors if we could zoom out further? Geez, they cant even keep servers up at the mo, let alone provide a good gaming experience.
consolow peasant limitation
the ranged mobs shoot us before we even see them
the zoom of the world boss should be original base zoom but no we get crap zoom

Not a server issue, that is rendered locally and the server is already aware of the actions and mobs beyond your vision.
My skeletons murder things outside the visible area all the time and who knows what drops are there that I miss etc.
Simple answer to this get a wide screen, since game supports it now.
Also in the game setting turn off zoom and it pushes it out little more.
i wish we could zoom out more in all the game

A further viewing distance would literally set PCs on fire or end up in more crashes than we already have. Guessing it’s a limitation to make the game playable on more systems (instead of requiring higher specs on average) and to work decent on consoles which are poo in terms of hardware. At least when compared to highend PC stuff that’s out there. But I would also prefer a slightly further point of view and at least have a slider for it so we can choose based on hardware or preference.
One boss fight near the end of the campaign half the boss arena is obscured by a massive wall, no joke i spent half the fight against that boss staring at my glowing outline and the bosses through a wall that covered my whole screen, i had to move him to the other side of the boss arena to be able to see.
BS, when you do a world boss the game zooms out and its not an issue.
Also, I don’t have it yet, but people say once you get a mount the game zooms out more while mounted.
Don’t spread easily disproven misinformation please.
Nothing about that answer is simple, in fact is downright ridiculous to call it an “answer” in the first place.
I already have a 32" curved 1440P monitor. That just makes everything worse as it feels like I’m looking at a large cellphone right now.
