So if I understand this right, the reward for each chapter we complete in the single campaign in the year of the dragon will be 3 card packs for 700 g…And at the end you get a golden pack , which might worth what 200 dust ?
Minor nitpick: A golden pack is at least 300 dust (4 common = 4x50 dust, 1 rare = 100 dust).
But the core of singleplayer content is repeatable content that is (supposedly) engaging and fun for those who don’t care as much about beating other players.
That’s dumb af, back in the past when we had to pay 700g for a single campaign, we had specific card to earn. Now that’s just a loss of gold
It’s not for you then. Hide cards behind the gold, people complain. Don’t reward cards, people still complain.
I don’t think this guy wants guitar lessons, Spidery.
Not to mention a legendary :)))…
The first chapter is going to be free, so if you don’t enjoy it, you don’t have to get the others.
So essentially if you complain, you’re really complaining that the solo content is now optional, instead of mandatory.
Well, first thing you’re missing is that 1 pack costs 100 gold. So the 3 packs you’re getting save you spending 300 gold on packs. So really, you’re only actually paying 400 gold for a new game which is…what? 8 dailies?..not exactly extortion is it? If you don’t want it…don’t buy it.
How can you say things if you don’t like it don’t buy it… EA made the exact same statement and look how well bf1 sold…
Yeah cos EA are currently going broke from all the losses in sales
Slight difference the CEO said it and he was right , awful game he was defending. Hearthstone on the other hand is totally different. Its been around a bit and they changing the format for the new year of the dragon.
Uhm both stocks and units sold dropped significantly. Bioware is also in the slopes with anthem because of ea. ONLY saving grace is the new battle royal game, in which, unsurprisingly ea didn’t have much influence with. Please don’t make uneducated and blatantly ignorant statements. You only make yourself look bad…
Stocks dropped across (almost) the entire gaming industry, no single game or event was the cause of that.
This is pretty incorrect statement. It depends from the point you watch this. EA is totally right. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it. But their problem is that they made not interesting game with stupid story where main story in the war was Woman with some mechanical arm during WW2. Fans votes with their wallets that they don’t like such content. If the game was good they would buy it. Now you say not that game is bad, you say that you don’t like reward… ahh ok. It is your right. But I will tell you a secret all single player games cost money. If the game is interesting, people will buy it. If not, they wont. If they make new single player content as booms puzles I wont buy it. They was pretty elementary and stupid for me. But if pve content is interesting, why to not buy it. CD Project Red sold their Thronebreaker for 30$ price tag as well and no one complain. Was it interesting or not? I liked it, but maybe many didn’t find it that enjoyable. This is fine. Voting with your wallet that you didn’t like some content is not bad. But CONTENT != REWARD for the hearthstone. This is just 20$ single player game based on hearthstone with some hearthstone rewards in it. Eventually may be bought with ingame gold. I bet that this is not first game which you cant afford because of price wall, but does that means that all games should be free? If you don’t like it, DONT buy it is the way world work. Now Blizz job is to prove us, that this content worth its money. It may not, who know. We cant know without seeing it.
CEO said it the share price went down . He left 3 weeks later after billions were wiped off the stock back in 2018. The saying is taken in context he said it meaning the customer base was wrong . IN fact he was and cost the company unwanted attention and lose of sales for the game he was talking about. The saying has stuck and many pull it out in many a forum as an example how not to say things as it comes back on you.
did anyone mention the solo content?
people worked to make it, I’d their work is worth some gold too
