Patch 30.2.2 brings balance changes to Standard, Wild, and Battlegrounds!
Out of all the things that needed to be fixed with Battlegrounds, they choose to nerf the trinkets and remove the extra time. Especially duos! I play with a friend in duos and our biggest complaint is the algorithm for trinkets. We end up having really bad options that have nothing to do with our builds half the time.
For example I was playing a pirate build with Thorncaptian, and I was offered two quillboar trinkets… How is that helpful? It trully feals like they give two to three random trinkets, and one to two based of what is on the board. I wish it was more targeted like the buddies were. That at leaste allowed for some creativity. The trinkets make or break your build, and it is mostly break.
Half of the trinkets need to be stronger, so they feel like they do something. I wouldn’t mind getting a trinket that isn’t related to my build if it made it worth the process of switching my build to something new.

SHORTER TIMERS in BG?! Guys I was already losing my buy phase whenever I met deathrattle heavy builds, what dolt thought making losing your buy phase easier was a good idea???
No change whatsoever for Frog BS, there’s still no counter for Tidus or fish of N’zoth, so we are still gonna have to deal with 2+ minutes of jumping frogs!
Like come on, if you’re gonna keep this leaper BS then copy a TFT mechanic that only starts the buy phase after the last battle in the round is over, it’s an auto chess game not an AFK/auto battler.
