Zephrys existing basically means I can’t play Lord Jaraxxus until it rotates out.

I thought they specified it’s AI, didn’t they? Yet again when it was first played by Kibler at the reveal on turn 2 that guy explained very poorly what Zephrys does revealing that he doesn’t fully understand either

They did but what do they mean by AI? As I see it, from what I’ve played him and from the last notes I read, it feels like a fairly deterministic system with some weights and a tad of randomness tossed into it. They may call that AI, in the old gamedev days it would certainly qualify as such, but nowadays, nah.

The first time I thought of this was because I wondered where would they get the data to feed to the algorithm. I admit this is a machine learning centric approach and that it is possible to create AI without existing data. However, the more I played it, the more deterministic it felt and the last notes mentioning bugs and weights kinda nailed it for me. I don’t believe this is AI in its modern form.

They mean it’s cool, from my experience that’s what they mean, most of their “AI” wouldn’t be efficient, not more than linear codes, especially not when your results are no different than those that linear codes would give

I had this thought after playing zephrys on 7 mana and getting offered a brawl that saved me from lethal. and zephrys survived the brawl :smiley:
