A win feels like a loss in BG

It’s quite and rather stupid, that blizzard states that a 4th place in battlegrounds is considered a win. Weekly quests completed by being 4th in battlegrounds is even considered a win towards completing the quest.

However… when achieving 4th place with another player and you and him are eliminated, both are deducted points. In what world is deducted points considered a win for a gamer (unless you are behind and losing hard, 4th can be considered a win by not losing a ton of points - but that is still considered a bad outcome )

My solution is… if you are eliminated as 4th along with others… you get 1 point no matter what. If you are eliminated as 4th solo, you get the full benefit. This way it’s still considered a win without feeling it’s a loss when eliminated.
Otherwise you really need to alter your current weekly quests, when you are eliminated 2 or more together as 4th…

As a gamer, a win should feel like you gained something, not losing progress. Your intentions are doing exactly the opposite. Otherwise you shouldn’t state that a 4th place is considered a win in this game.

Best regards

The reason for this is simple and it’s based on Casinos slot machines.

As Battlegrounds is 100% luck Blizzard knows that if they only ‘reward’ first place no one would play the game.

The same way that no one would play slot machines in a Casino if there was only one person who wins. Everyone has to win from time to time, even if it is a little bit. That way people keep on playing.

If you never win, you never play. That is what Casinos know and that is what Blizzard knows.

even first does not feel like a win because its not you winning, its the algorithm that say its your time to win.

This - I totally agree with this. It feels like even the “luck” that everybody mentions is not luck. It feels like the “behind the scenes” entity just decides to let you know when you climbed to fast so it give you only trash (i.e. 3 games in a row, after some wins and a bit of climb, I got to tavern 6, in a still full alive lobby, and got only tavern 1 or 2 cards that would not have brought any benefit to the comp…3 games in a row) or gives you the most random luck ever (sometimes winning or getting top2 with the most random and bizarre comps).

We get the luck factor in the game, since it is designed to stimulate strategy and adaptability to RNG, but do not include artificial methods to take you down when you “won too much” or give you a 4th place on 0 or minus MMR.

It’s not even luck. It’s all pre-determined by their spaghetti code 50% algorithm. You should be able to tell me which position it designated for you in within the first 8 rounds and there’s no use fighting it, concede go next.

well, the luck comes in when the algorithm chooses the chosen one. If you are lucky then it is you. I know excatly my end position before turn 8 and there is nothing I can do to change it. That is why I often call for a Concede button from Turn 8 whereby you dont lose so much MMR.

It’s really pretty straight forward. You didn’t get 4th.

You tied for 4th and 5th with someone else, so you both get the points equivalent to getting 4.5 placements.

You didn’t do well enough for 4th, don’t be entitled, just play better.

You’re obsessed with finding a scapegoat for why your games go badly.

It’s because…drum roll you’re just not good enough at the game. Please stop lying to yourself and actually try to improve.

Your 10,000th community post won’t solve this issue.

My opponent has 1 Tier 7 and 2 Tier 6 minions on Turn 6. Please explain in detail how my opponent is good at the game. Please explain detail how my opponents awesome skill allowed that.

Oh, wait, drum roll, you can’t.

this, after seeing the tavern and the fight of turn 6/7 i know EXACTLY what will happen in the next turns and if i’ll end the game 1st, around 3/4 or 8th, no matter whats the status of my board or my hp. this algo has been made by a derp dev who have some cranions plugged deep up his nose since he was a kid and i cant realize how some people does not notice it.
