So whats up with every single minion having 2/3 3/3 3/4 stats (or divine shield) and most if not all removal is 2 damage.
Do you even know how rare it is to do a boardwipe that actually turns the tide of the battle?
The mages, warriors or druids doesnt even pay mana for stuffing their boards every single turn.
There are no tools to deal with tempo/aggro decks atm. Even if you manage to stabilise you’re dead to Mr. Smite, fireballs or Alextraza to the face anyway.
There need to be more punish-cards to counter a meta like this. Like a 2 mana eat all pirates and get +5/+5 for each pirate eaten. Because thats not even a big minion anymore - force aggro to roll removal as well instead of more smorc
There’s some alright defensive minions in the core set: mistress of mixtures, annoy-a-tron, sheep, tar creeper, DOOMSAYER but at lower/mid ranks the pirates are doing far too well. Hopefully the nerf slows them down enough.
My legend card back that I earned when it was harder to get there playing a homebrew control deck in an aggro meta says that I know what I’m talking about.
My sketchy meme/achievement decks beat out the mages with that defensive shell. Need Doomsayer on turn 3 to beat the pirates, otherwise they’re just too fast.
Druid is just busted, really hope the nerfs do the trick.

And those stupid decks that you burn all cards with selfish shellfish where opponents lose 2 cards and when he spawn 7x1 hp minion and get that deathrattle to them and game over
