The new Arena rewards are awful. They are for sure better than back in the old days, even before the last major rework, but are far worse than they were until last week (aka the last major rework). Not having gold as a reward is terrible as I, and probably some others too, only play Arena and not ladder. I am literally unable to keep generating gold for my Arena runs. If this isn’t changed, or at least reverted, then this is a farewell for me.

It’s just the same for me. I still play batllegrounds sparsely, but this puts an end to hearthstone for me.

Exactly, until this patch i managed to play arena with the gold i farmed from arena/daily quests and sometimes i bought some tickets for $, had 1500 gold on the day of the patch, im right now on 10 gold and probably playing my last arena run 
Literally cant play my favorite and the only mode i play i still play in this game without paying for it and its been like few days since patch and i played it for years before. Sorry but im not paying $5 for RNG arena run which could easily end bad with 0 gold prize for 300 gold entry. It would be sort of fine if that would still cost 150 gold like before, but well, good one, im out.
PS. pretty sure arena is niche mode for very little players left that are enjoying them and you make them terribly expensive for us to enjoy, just delete the mode and stop trying to milk the few players left who were enjoying it to this day, so lame.

I dont get it why the new rewards contain so many packs and/or cards?! If you are an arena player, these kind of rewards are not interesting for you. I know that it theory its a nice deal when you pay 300 gold for an underground run and get 2 packs (worth 300 gold) and 45 gold for 3 wins. So you already get more than you paid for. But its not the quantity of rewards, its the quality which annoys me.
You pay gold to play arena, so if you perform well you want partially refund your next runs.
Average players going 3-4 wins will suffer the most with these changes and are the ones which will hopefully step back from this game mode when they are out of gold sooner or later. Thats what I will do to show blizzard that this is not a good way to treat player of a game which used to be free to play. But that slogan no longer suits arena-mode in my opinion.

Its really sad killing arena. Standard is unplayable for casuals and extremely overpriced. BGs is either you like it or not but it gets really boring and repetitive to me after some games.
Arena always had some new and exciting combos, plus it was casual friendly by not needing to own cards. Now its basically unplayable unless you spend a ridiculous amount of money, and less casual friendly.
GJ killing the game, but this time not just baby steps, but making a content irrelevant.
