Art changes, option for old ones (NEED!)

Please give us the option for the old art back. Because to be fair, the new ones look like crap compared to the old ones. Don’t know why, but the old ones felt more like fantasy :wink: just don’t censor it for us. i like nice art to be fair and not that kinda thing we see now. Please give us an option for freedom :slight_smile: thanks.

Aesthetics is a matter of subjective personal taste. How do you expect this to be optional in game? You may argue that the old art is better, but I for one, disagree. In fact I disagree with the exception of Succubus, which I agree. I also prefer the new art of Queen of Pain but I prefer the old name.

Do you see where this is going? It is unsustainable to make this optional.

By now you are probably thinking “no, that’s not what I meant. I meant to chose one or the other”. But that’s because you like the other more. I don’t prefer one or the other. I like most things from the new and some things from the other. Why can you have the ones that you like and I can’t?

It’s not a sensible request, mate. It’s a can of worms both technically (keep in mind this is a mobile game) and to make everyone happy.

Why do you need change ?
I think it is not necessary at all.Old art was always nice :slight_smile:

To be honest, I don’t really get the whole fuss about Succubus and Mistress of Pain: both cards barely see any play, so the art change has almost no impact on the actual games. If you just like watching the card art, download a picture of the old art from google.

Blizzard actually did something and they still managed to do it in a lazy fashion.

The new mistress of pain art is a copypaste of art for Dreadlord Jaina from Heroes of the Storm. How dare they scrap the opportunity to have a new legendary minion with the demon keyword. A legendary Dreadlord Jaina card would be so badass. Heck, let’s give it the name “Dread-Jaina, Queen of Pain” so a LEGENDARY minion can be called QUEEN, rather than a lowly RARE.

Seriously, why the hell is it possible for me to have duplicate queens. Makes the Queen of Pain less special. Mistress of pain is fine. What’s so sexist about the word Mistress. It’s literally the feminine version of Master, like how Waitress is a female Waiter.

“Mistress” Is apparently a bad word according to Backwards Blizzard, so they changed it to Queen.

“hEll yEaH MoAr FEEMahYL EmPowErMent!” Cries Blizzard.

Although I don’t have a problem with the word at all, Mistress does have a negative and heavily loaded meaning in some languages, e.g., mine. :slight_smile: To be clear, I don’t care, I’m fine with Mistress. However your assumption that’s literally what it means and nothing else is incorrect.

If you want to play the language card, please be complete about it. In English, mistress is frequently used with 3 meanings:

  • most frequent: extra-marital partner
  • dominatrix
  • female master

Considering the name ‘Mistress of pain’ and the whip on the art, I’m pretty sure they didn’t mean ‘female master’ in this case.
Anyway, the name change was not needed imo.

But come on, succubus still wore more than Illidan Stormrage. Nobody complains about his ridiculous physique.
