Is it only me that thinks that FoZ-A card is so stupid as combo with Tony that everytime when your opponent gonna play those 2 cards on turn 7,8,9 and after that following with steamcleaner you will want to punch the monitor, take a break from the game for 30+min or at least leave disgust aftertaste…
I do really enjoy Tony card - it can create amazing game plan but HOLY dung ! how Tony+FoZA combo is so stupid ( all you need is those 2 cards & having 7 mana) that even 5 year old kid can play this deck.
I really think 90% of players will feel the same thing when they gonna witness it on their own skin.
Why card that saw 0% GAMEPLAY and is still unplatable trash gonna destroy standard format cuz we all know people gonna play it even more after new cards from new expansions.
Just ban the FoZA from standard cuz it’s as toxic as Shudderwock 30 min animation which is 99% NON INTERACTIVE…
I don’t know if it stays as it is, you will see, it’s gonna be cancer…
Uhm … I know what The Fires of Zin-Azshari does. But I have never heard of a card named “Tony”. Which card do you mean?
Tony, King of Piracy swaps your decks while it’s out on the field. The combo goes Tony, Fires, Tony dies, Steamcleaner to destroy the Fires, thus destroying the opponent’s deck.
This game appeals to 5-10 year olds with its ridiculous card designs in recent years. There are ridiculous designs that show the cards in the opponent’s hand and steal the cards from the opponent’s hand. That’s why even a 5-year-old child can play comfortably.
Ahh, gotcha. I thought the OP was complaining about an existing combo, not about a new one they predict. My experience from past new expansions is that usually the “brokken combos” that are predicted when cards are revealed turn out to be no problem, and completely other cards turn out to have interactions that DO cause the balance to break and require a quick nerf. (Which, happily, Blizzard now does far more often and faster than several years ago). So not sure how useful it is to now speculate about a possibly broken (or fun-sapping) combo…
But if you insist … it seems to me that unless you can reliably kill off Tony the turn you play him, there are tech cards to counter this combo. Though it depends on what happens exactly when Tony is silenced, returned to hand, shuffled in a deck, or transformed.
It should swap back. Its an on board active effect from what i can tell
