Basic Tinkering

Most Basic cards suck.
And there aren’t enough of them…
Sure, you have some good ones, but hearthstone needs to make the starter kit more viable for new players and give them less trouble when up against someone who has a deck heavy with expansion cards. Therefore, I suggest one NEW basic extra basic card for each class, along with a few new neutral ones and small, almost insignificant buffs to some of the basic cards, so they aren’t THAT great, but at least they’ll suck less, I suppose…

  • Chillwind Yeti now has “Battlecry: Freeze the enemy hero.”- His name has “Chill” in it, alright!? Sheesh…
  • Silverback Patriarch now has “Deathrattle: Add either 1 or 2 bananas to your hand”- Deathrattles have become a staple mechanic in the game. Best introduce it to new players at the beginning than surprise them later.
  • Magma Rager has “Battlecry: Un-freeze all friendly characters”- a nice counter to freeze other than silence.
  • Radiance now costs two, but comes with “Draw a card.”- It’s no lie radiance is s***. Thank me later.

Thank you for implementing these changes for us

I stated they were suggestions.
Your verdict on my ideas?

As someone that is often consulted in scientific things and that is quite vocal about alternative “medicine”, I must suggest that the card effect is changed to “Do nothing.” and the mana cost ramped to at least 7 mana.

That could be the joke in the flavour text :joy:

“Magic causes autism!”

  • Saying adopted by the post-War of the Ancients night elves of Ashenvale.

I may not play WoW, but I know enough of the lore for that to make me chuckle. If magic truly does cause Autism, I must be an arch Mage of the kirin tor by now. :joy:
