Hey guys,
I was wondering… Are certain minions veto’d/not available for particular heroes for balancing.
The reason I am asking is: for the last dozen games I have played with The Lich King, I have not seen a single Baron Rivendare. There are other powerful combinations which I cannot seem to acquire from the Tavern lately.
Is this deliberate balancing from the game dev’s to try and make the game more balanced by reducing the likelihood of minions appearing in the tavern? Or just a huge coincidence?

There is not veto on minions depending on the heroes.
It’s most probably just a case of terrible luck. I played a few menagerie comps lately but never got a single Lightfang (and no one had one) and once i played a Beast comp but never found a single wolf to top it off. But then in other games i would find them no problem, maybe even more than i needed. Most probably the same for you, just a case of terrible luck, combined maybe with the fact other had Baron reducing even more the likelyhood to appear in the tavern.
So you are saying when other people have a minion you are less likely to get it? I was not aware of this…

I’ll explain so that i can help you and you know for the future. All the minions you see in the tavern come from the same pool, so everytime someone buys a minion it gets pulled out of the pool. Same goes for selling: when you sell a minion it goes back in the pool. Of course low tavern minions are more abundant, and high minions are very low in numbers. So yeah, if someone buys a minion it reduces the possibilities that you can find that minion since the number available is one less.
So there is even that possibility in the future to consider. In fact if many people are going Beast for example you should never go Beast cause you risk to not find stuff that other people are buying. And if you discover a Tier 6 minion that you don’t need, maybe pick one that others might need so they can have less chances to find it.

Yeah, plus there’s more copies of each minion the lower the tier. It’s very easy to dodge specific 5 and especially 6 drops because of that.
I dont think so ive seen rivendare as lk , its just luck of the draw, plus the fact some minions have a limited quantity and get bought up
