Battlegrounds Season 5
On August 22nd, Battlegrounds Season 4 will end and Season 5 will start. If you still have to finish your rewards track, this is your last call to get in that final push if you're after a specific reward.

What's new: Anomalies - New Game Rules
Anomalies are new custom game rules that affect your ENTIRE LOBBY. Anomalies are determined at the start of the game and before the hero select. At launch, there will be over 20 Anomalies and more will be added each week (with increased appearance rates for that week) until we have over 50.
Anomalies will be available with patch 27.2.
Example anomalies: Money Match (Start at 10 Gold), Denathrius’ Anima Reserves (All heroes are Sire Denathrius), Secrets of Norgannon (Tavern Tier 7 exists. Start with 10 extra Armor).

Exactly that - Bob has upgraded his Tavern to bring you the most powerful minions, when the stars align and the Anomaly Secrets of Norgannon is active!

New BG Hero - Thorim
The definition of "planning in advance" - at the start of the game, choose a promising Tier 7 minion as your champion. After a few rounds, the chosen champion is given the honor of joining your warband. Now, you might have noticed the anomaly example, Secrets of Norgannon; that is the ONLY way, to access Tier 7. Thorim is an exception as he gets one Tier 7 minion through his hero power.
New Minions & the timeline
49 minions have been REMOVED from the minion pool, 32 minions have been ADDED (plus new Tier 7 minions), 11 are RETURNING back to the minion pool. Don't miss the upcoming reveals and start planning your best strategy!
- August 15, 12:00 p.m. PT (9PM CEST - 21:00)—RDU reveals Neutrals, Beasts, Mechs, and Elementals
- August 15, 3:00 p.m. PT (MIDNIGHT CEST - 00:00)—Slysssa reveals Dragons, Undead, Naga, Quilboar, and Murlocs
- August 16, 10:00 a.m. PT (7PM CEST - 19:00)—Hearthstone reveals Dual Type minions
- August 16, 11:00 a.m. PT (8PM CEST - 20:00)—Hearthstone reveals Tier 7 minions

Battlegrounds Preview Event + GIVEAWAYS
On August 21, starting at 6PM CEST (18:00) several players will be participating in a special preview stream event, playing the new Battlegrounds Season 5 content. Participating players will be streaming to their own channels and will have Season Pass giveaways for their viewers - don't forget and tune in!
