Is anyone else struggling with placing top 4 with the battlegrounds quests being added? I would consistently be able to place every couple of games and with quests i can go on 8+ losing streaks.
I like the idea of the quests as it breaks up the gameplay a bit but it seems to RNG based on what you get vs. what the quest/reward is. i.e. i can have a great board and feel like i pick well but then just get destroyed mid rounds almost every time.
I’m only a casual player i just sit at 6k atm as i can’t progress past it - especially now there’s quests. My average play for the past few days is literally win 1-2 games in top 2 usually then lose 6-7 in a row. Rinse and repeat.
I’m at 6.5k rating at the time, and I get Top 4 consistently. Sometimes things don’t work out and I finish below that.
I’ve just reached first place with Curator in my last game.
Some tips:
1)Don’t rush to upgrade the Tavern if you can extract good value out of your existing minions.
Try to get a decent build going before upgrading to the highest ranks. Sometimes you don’t even need to get to Tier 6, unless you have a surplus of Gold.
- Prioritize quest completion.
- often it’s correct to sell a strong minion for one or more weaker ones that give you extra value: for instance, Drakkari Enchanter.
You are right. RNG makes the game lopsided. The requirements to complete a quest are also RNG, so an awesome quest reward could be cheap and easy.
BG now is who rolls best on rng and they place high and the rest suck.
The skill aspect has been removed so ranking becomes irrelevant. You could be ranking 100 or 10000, it means nothing.

I hate when people like u try to downplay the RNG, YOU and everyone knows, that if u stay on a low tier u are never going to win 1st place, its an obvious mechanic, if you stay on a low tier while others have better starts , ur never going to win if u don’t level, the whole game is based on RNG, of course u could make better decisions but ultimately if you stay low the game is unwinnable
