Just a question about the tribes availability ergo minions that Bob gives you in BG:
is still random?cause recently i noticed that is odd compared to the past…even if i choosed wisely and with a bit of luck a tribe for my comp and i was the only one or maybe we were in 2 having the same, and 3-4 others players went the same, Bob didn’t give a good choice like he should, especially talking about the numbers of minions of multiple tribes.
Like my last game, i went Quilboars and in the lobby i had 3-4 players that went Naga…didn’t see Quilboars like it should be cause the majority of players not using them and instead got a surreal Naga+Elementals+Murlocs availability that was more than others tribes. Now i know when a minion is sold return to Bob’s pool, but before it wasn’t so disgusting like now in terms of variety given. Now what?is more convenient going to use the same tribes of others 2-3 players instead of like always been choosing one not used for a better strategy?is uncanny.
I’ve noticed the change in the pool too, (not talking about new/old minions) not sure if its real and if so, is it intentional or just a bug. Maybe we just preform bad in the new patch.
Something´s up. Definitively.
I would have reached 6000 points by now easily. Matches feel rigged, there are defo “win conditions” being applied behind the scenes.
I have played quite a lot and yes, since last patch something is different.
Yeah i didn’t read the patches notes, but even if i not tryhard at BG or play it a lot, i still play it 4-5hrs weekly and noticed this anomaly compared to the past. Hope someone of Blizzard can explain it, some games-lobbies are just awful considered one play it properly.
There is one other thing to take into consideration here, the imbalance of what’s left in the pool.
In your example you say maybe 2 of you were focusing on one tribe call this tribe A) and 3-4 others where focusing on a 2nd tribe (call this tribe B). As there are, say, 7 out of 8 players focusing solely on 2 tribes only, that would cause both Tribe A and Tribe B minions available in the pool to be thinned out as you would expect. But because so many players are only focusing on 2 tribes it creates a 2nd problem…the other tribes don’t get thinned out as much, if at all, meaning they are much more likely to show up in the tavern.
Think of it like a big tub of multicoloured marbles. If you and someone else are trying to pick out only red ones and 4 other people are only trying to pick out blue ones, as the game progresses there are fewer red and blue marbles available, but there are still the same amount of different coloured marbles so it becomes statistically less likely that you would find a red one.
However, this brings me to a point I’ve made several times that I believe should be introduced to alleviate this problem because I’ve had similar problems at the very start of games where I’ve been playing a tribe dependent hero like Chenvaala or Patches, only to go 3-4 turns at the start of the game without seeing a single elemental or pirate, which pretty much cripples these heroes for the entire game if they have such a weak start.
I think the game needs some kind of bad luck protection introducing. Something like each tribe has a % chance of showing whenever the tavern is refreshed. However, if the tavern is refreshed and a certain tribe doesn’t show up, then the % chance for that tribe to show increases slightly for every refresh that one doesn’t show
That is not exactly true. I had games where only I focused on beasts but Baron never showed up. How is thinned since nobody was looking for it.
- There are fewer tier 5 cards in the overall pool than the lower tiers
- Legendary cards are more rare than regular cards
I thought so as well, but I will record you next time when I am playing dragons how often Baron pops up. There is something seriously.
Hands down,i thought i was going crazy.Playing games for rounds and rounds as solo 1 tribe, while my opponents 4 and 5 of them same tribe,i cant get my hands to a single triplet even after 20 rounds, spending 10 coins on refresh over and over, while finding ooponents with crazy 7/7 golden.
I know what a fanboi could counter say to me: “How your opponents can have all that and you dont?Only YOUR account is rigged?” Well idk fellas,i can prove it with showing only my side of the game history that is kept ingame, sadly if we start a move about “exposing” the problems with videos,we know how they will be end up claimed.
I anyway decided to leave after the announcement of going aggressive P2W anyway so i dont bother anymore.Runeterra updates seem interesting lately.
Yes i had games we were in 2 or even i the only with Murlocs for example, and all the lobby were on Elementals: result?spending over 10-20mana/coins refreshing without seeing murlocs or others tribes properly, and that make you lose the game. So like said i compare this thing with like it always been, and i don’t think is something related to MMR or BG rating, i am near 5k and there’s no skill involved with tribes availability. The thinned thing is wierd, i can easily get it if your probabilities are related of what others do in terms of comp, but is not like that cause the pool is random except the X minions for each tier that when sold to Bob are mixed again in the pool, or same when you triple one they decrease from it. Right now, and i saw even dogdog on youtube in same games having literaly none of each tribe minions in his comp given by Bob, is absurd cause really is a paradox that is more convenient the choice of the same tribes of others instead picking the less ones. I agree would be equal and at least every X mana/coins spent you have the safety that Bob will give you a good variety of tribes no matters what is the entrie lobby doing, but like said even i don’t play it BG too much i noticed this anomaly. Months ago wasn’t like that. I would like to ask someone of Blizzard to check or explain what changed.
The last batch of minions caused that, the neutral ones. Also, the RNG to get a minion you need after getting a triplet got changed, and i dont mean on lower tiers,i mean 5 & 6.
Yday i had a game where i was lucky enough to not lose early and i got triplets at 4-star and 5-star(Ticatus helped to stay alive till this late without triplets) and i couldnt get ANY 6-star mech(dont forget that now we got 2 good of them,Grease Bot and Omega Buster).
Welp, next round i lost bigtime from a guy that had:
1 Golden Omega
1 Golden Baron
1 Golden Kangor’s Apprentice
2 Holy Macherel
1 Tunnel Blaster
You can guess how that went…
Minion availability in BG is a joke and always has been. Especially when you go for tribe specific heroes.
Last game I went (I KNOW!!!) for Jaraxus and demons (I SAID I KNOW!!!). I saw exactly 1 demon till turn 6. 1/3 T1 guy showed up on T11, never ever seen the ping guy or the one that gives demons, nothing. On my last turn I actually got a golden DR T1 demon - my only triple.
Also the times when you upgrade your tavern to T5 or T6 and for 5 coins you do not see any T5 or T6 minions. Pure delight.
Keep in mind that some heroes are just more OP than others. I can easily see that happens with Varden. I did it myself. I mean I went with her for 16 golden minions in one game. I cannot imagine others doing them so easily.
