Best and worsed heroes in battlegrounds (top 3)

In my opinion best are:

  1. Denathrius
  2. The one that collect whole tavern for some mana
  3. Master NGuen

Personally, love to play with Lord Barov, the eagle and the cat that collects xD

The most terrible are:

  1. Rat king
  2. Deathwing
  3. Alex - shame for Alex since it is a great and significant hero but it is just terrible. Getting possibly two dragons up to T3 most often and even Kaleg is just not enough to compensate.

I haven’t played enough to have my own opinion but the stats say:

Ysera is no.1 (easy quest completion?)

Heistbaron at 2 like you.

Master in top 10.

Sir Denarius as bad (top of bottom 3rd)

Rat King and Deathwing as terrible.

But most interestingly it has Alex as the 10th best hero. My guess is that just getting 2 free minions when you level to 5 is really good at the moment, even if they’re sub par but like I said I’ve not played enough to really know.

I think that stats are fine for reference, but they sometimes warp the overall picture completely, and shouldn’t be relied on.

For instance, the class Tierlist in Arena puts Rogue last, which is not my experience at all.
I tend to do well with Rogue. It’s one of my favorite classes to play in general, which is maybe why I make it work better than some higher ranking classes.

As for Battlegrounds, I agree about Alexstrasza being poor. Dragons are just harder to play with in comparison to the other tribes, and the two free minions she gets are not compensation enough.

Well from my point of you having not played her, either 2 people have got unlucky in a few games or thousands of people have got lucky in hundreds of thousands of games.

My own personal experience differs from the stats but just because I got and 8th with Tess and a win with everyone else doesn’t mean I think Tess is by far the worst hero :smiley:

Well, using the hero ability is important in Battlegrounds, and I feel that Alexstrasza’s is the worst, because by the time you get to use it, you likely have a good board going that won’t have synergy with whatever you’re offered.

By comparison, AFK’s for instance is also passive, with a somewhat similar effect, but you get to benefit from it far sooner.

But with AFK you not level 3 after getting the minions. Don’t get me wrong, Alex doesn’t seem good to me but I just presume there’s something I’m missing like quest synergy whilst going fast 5. The fact Ysera top also makes me believe there’s something I’ve not seen/noticed dragon wise :thinking:

Edit: 1 game with Alex, 1 VERY easy win. I will say I got the quest that gives you a copy of the last regular minion that died and that was very strong with dragons as it let me get golden Kaly and Razagore despite only finding 1 of each naturally. Weird line of tier 1 dragon tier 2 sell dragon to double buy demon tier 3 pivot to mechs, tier 5 pivot back to dragons but it worked out once I stabilized. Whilst the hero power wasn’t amazing I will say that it let me level to 5 one turn earlier than I normally would have without losing tempo so it was alright.
