BG Perks, Strategical Value?

Hey this is open for general feedback.
I have been on and off Hearthstone for a while, but never truly got into it because of the price of purchasing card packs. (I am from ZA so exchange rate is rough Lol)
Anyway got back into it recently and got all the free packs etc. found BG for the first time and I flipping enjoy it, it frustrates me sometimes but gotta say I’m addicted. Though I have one question and that is do the perks you buy have any strategical value to planning besides the extra hero choices at all? I can’t seem to find anything in alot of discussions, I am close to getting the gold for it but would love to know because if it has none I would rather spend the gold on card packs :sunglasses:

Nah. The stats are pretty interesting, but unless you’re trying to be super competitive, where having the choice of 4 heroes is essential, then they’re not worth it.

At least with the packs changes (no duplicate commons/rares/epics until you have them all) if you clear every daily you get enough gold to get every common/rare and the perks per expansion or if you just play BG you need to spend 15 mins max a week clear quests once to get enough gold. But I will be choosing the extra packs every time with my gold for sure.

Thanks so much this helps a lot, I do want to be competitive at BG I still have a lot to learn but I kind of had a knack for it, putting together different build types that complimented each other etc. though the RNG sometimes really kills me when all you need is just that one minion to truly tie it all together and you don’t get it for the rest of the game XD But with the new expansions coming out and the old decks going to be wild I won’t have much to play with not having decent full decks. So I think I will go for the card packs for now actually, and will start the saving up for the BG perk once the next expansion comes 2100 gold as of now so going to have some fun :slight_smile:

Just for your information, nothing has been announced yet about how the perks will be unlocked in the next expansion.

I think you get pre-access to new heroes… I’m new with BG so don’t take it for granted.
I would go for packs anyway

Oh yes of course, I did read that up somewhere, I am a noob after all mistakes will be made LOL
But that also is an interesting point, I hope whatever they do hopefully it will be affordable at my crazy exchange rate :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
