Since the buddies left, there is a long list of heroes that are severly disadvantaged. With their buddies all heroes were quite playable. I don’t buy the perks so I only get 2 choices - and the chance of getting 2 losers is much higher now. It really takes the fun out of BG for me.
Bliz: how about removing the weakest heroes - or giving them a bit of a boost?
And it would also be nice if nagas would not be in every game.
They “can’t” remove them because they sold people portraits for real money, so that wont happen. Definitely should be buffing the weak, sooner rather than later.
Quilboars were in every game for a month, so my guess would be that Nagas will be in every game for a couple more weeks.
If you remove the bad heroes, there will be others that are considered bad. It’s called power creep.
If you see so much bad heroes, it may also be that you’re playing them wrong.
I dunno, Dog (former NA #1) says the current problem with BGs is that so many heroes are garbage that it’s close to an auto loss every few games.
Admittedly he’ll be up against stronger opponents than us (i can win with fairly easily with any hero because my mmr is so low, due to how little I play), but I trust his opinion on the meta. Which is why I agree with this topic, as opposed to agreeing with the OP based on my own opinion, as I casually crush the 1 game a week I play with any hero

I’m not a beginner. Check HSREPLAY > BG > Heroes. See how many heroes are now tier 4.
Many top players think so and the higher you climb, the more obvious it becomes.
I will disagree here … removing Buddies was the best move they did in a long time.
i wonder why you are not buying the perks tbh, the gold cost for it is very low ( i am only playing BG’s ) and i get so much gold from the season journey thing as long i remember to reroll the quests, been buying the perks every season so far and still sits on 20k gold.
To be fair i am not using gold on packs as i am not playing * normal * HS.
but we could see a bit less of Nagas in general … they are fun enough but not every game and it turns out to be a game of countering them if you play anything else.
but i guess they will buff the new naga hero first as it is a bit weak.
There has been quite a bit of discussion about the buddies. Yeah - removing them probably made for a better game. But it also made a long list of heroes hardly playable.
I’m normally a constructed & arena player, and got by well without the perks. The old meta kept players like me involved and gave us a chance. But you have a point - buying the Perks is fair as Bliz is not making any money on card packs in BG.
