Blizzard games - is it a casino?

We are all well aware that matchmaking in the game is rigged, which is confirmed by patent US10322351B2.
As players, we know that Blizzard prefers rigging matches to card balances.
But, as consumers, can we be sure that this patent does not justify banal extortion? I’m not sure. I think that competent people and authorities should deal with this.
It took me 5 minutes to make a report to the Federal Trade Commission on their website :+1:.
Probably, the more such reports there are, the more competent people will be able to find out how justified extortion through fake games is and whether it is same of casino.

Rigging matches is necessary for matchmaking in general. Otherwise pros could be matched against noobs without any rhyme or reason.

Anywho, legally speaking Hearthstone is not a casino, because there is no way for a player to cash out and earn monetary winnings.

Judging by the outflow of players, which increases with the increase in the influence of fraud, the players do not consider it necessary.
I suggest not to speculate whether Blizzard games is casino are or not, but to give our reports to the professionals.
Also I got interested and checked your messages. Youre an ordinary blizzdrone.

You’re*

Sidenote: Insulting other people makes them less willing to side with you. Just because I don’t blindly agree with everything that might hurt a company doesn’t mean I’m a “blizzdrone”. Learn to compromise or you will find yourself with nobody backing you up.

I know what the topic is made for. And I read the first message correctly, this same patent has been discussed before in this forum, I believe I was also present in that discussion as well.

The situation has not changed regarding the fact since then. And the fact is that in the eyes of the law, the game is not able to be classified as a casino since there is no ability to cash out.
The moral and design implications are far more muddled. And rightly so.

So let me make this clear for you, Gobla.
I dislike that patent because Blizzard can use it as legal jargon to hide their real intentions behind it.
But more than that, I dislike people who twist the patent’s words to support their viewpoint, including you. The problem is not the patent itself. It’s the people who made it knowing that they won’t follow the spirit of it, just the letter.

Quit the insults.

The title message is still inattentively read.

In general I understood terms what this guy wanted to say. The company really has a very sh!ttу business. We can understand this by the intellectual abilities of their drones, because everyone knows that the better the company is doing, the smarter its fanboys are . The blizzdrones do not inspire us with confidence in the future of soybean factory :broken_heart:.

I would rather go to the bookies and have a chance of winning something, been on bg for well over two years and cant get to 7000+, when i watch other people play online with over 10k rating they are trash. i have spend on game £0 when other geting rating by buying and paying for battle pass, blizz would give people who play better and easyer games…,
