Book of heroes garrosh, jaina fight

TLDR; plz nerf or i wont be playing this story anymore.

cant beat it, the difficulty spike in this one.
basically ur supposed to first get through her 4-5 0/10 taunts while trying to deal with a constant stream of AOE spells, 4 mana 5/8 water elementals that get spawned once every turn & a legendary minion that makes the first spell cost 0.

ive read a guide which suggests that i try & build a board before breaking down the taunts. tried it a couple of times, but my board kept on getting killed by the AOE’s & the minions who were hiding behind the taunt.
cant even restart the match for a better starting hand, 'cause for some reason u can only concede in the book of heroes.

the deck ur playing doesnt have much cheap draw either, which makes rebuilding the board all the more frustrating.
wont be playing this adventure for a single pack which isnt all that good to beging with, if there are unfair fights like this

Dear me, the amount of time you have spent typing this you could have done it.
Just persevere, it’s not meant be easy if it was you likely be posting that you have completed it too quickly.

I share just a bit your rant, and understand Winchester’s point.
But Blizzard has never been good on the balance department, in Hearthstone especially. The singleplayer content, not only Garrosh story, is ridiculous: or it’s too easy, or it’s too hard/stupid. And indeed they should aim at giving a challenging mode, but when it gives you a boring game/deck/matchup it’s not challenging, it’s fun killing.
It’s not a point if it’s possible if it’s not fun to get to the end. I’ve been stuck at that same level and actually forgot that i had to finish it, cause i’ve been playing a more fun and engaging game xD and i think that is the point: the storymode is interesting, but not that much fun, and the rant should be about addressing that issue. And as Big said, if you have to play an annoying or not that great mode just for a pack not that good, then you won’t play it. That means less good/satisfying content, therefore less players interested, and personally the singleplayer modes are something big.
So yeah, probably will try again in the future, but not that much to waste my time when i could be playing more fun and intriguing games. That level is really insane.

I actually had no trouble with it. Beat it on my first try.

The last fight took me 2 tries but I managed. Man, that Charged Doomhammer is an ouchie.

Wait till challenge 7 comes along. I am not able to beat Prince Anduin Wrynn. So I gave up on this challenge. It’s just too frustrating.

Gorehowl, 7/6 that equips a weapon, sword eater into 5/8 water elementals, first spell is free guy with +6 spell damage becuase gates of theramore wont let you trade (You can reroll until your cannons actually hit anything relevant, because that is insanely fun, concedeing into replay). This fight is a joke. Don’t bother.

It definitely ramped up in difficulty but it still wasn’t that tricky.

Hard mulligan for the free 2/2 pirate, spread you damage out across the taunts but still do max damage. Build as big a board as possible by turn 5, trading efficiently, especially with weapons. Then assess the situation and plan out your lethal route.

Can you beat both board clears and water eles? Yes…well you win, no - can you beat either? Bait out whichever you can beat. If you can’t beat either, assume they don’t have the board clear and restart if they do as you were gona lose anyway.

The way I just won was had a solid aggro start to build board. Good damage turn 6 trading only with fiery war axe off pirate + hero power. Blizzarded on turn 6 - 2nd charge of axe to face + played 5 hp mech (flamestrike), Gorehowled them in the face turn 8 (no water ele as had forced blizzard), tiny board chip damge + Kor’kron elite lethal turn 9.

Jaina was the only one that took me multiple tries, but once I knew what to play around I did it on the second attempt (bad aggro draw).

Anduin seemed to be playing some kind of inner fire deck? I just controlled the board and my armorsmith basically solo’d him.

I noticed straight away that Thrall was intent on using the doomhammer to control the board, so I just played 2 minions every turn and he basically killed himself. Didn’t even get to use the quest reward as it only triggered as the 6th enemy I kill was Thrall himself with a Gorehowl to the face.

Just trying to gee the player up so they would beat the encounter and come back here and stick it up me.

Don’t you guys just want it already completed, cuz it’s already for free. And you don’t need to use your collection to craft a deck. Maybe suggest to Blizzard, to put the option available in the Shop so you can buy “Fully completed adventure pack” for 9.99, then you can go moan about the cost. Oh, but wait! There is a similar bundle rewarding 5 packs and a hero skin for the same amount of cash!
This was, like all the previous chapters a 1 shot, or a 2nd attempt on some fights for me and any other player that is enjoying playing (parts of) the game and not just collect a pack to bust it open. Too much effort, like amagad! Rant to rant over!

Some players also use their brain when playing, if you know what I mean :laughing: :wink:
