bot games suuuuuuck!
i play bad decks which lose a lot, which i used to be OK with, cause winning isnt the source of my fun personally. even in losing games there are usually plenty of fun moments that arise organically from designing a deck and testing it against a meta. the fun that arises from such a competition is likely why you’d want to make a pvp card game in the first place!
but i guess there’s a Metric somewhere that states Players don’t Engage enough if they lose more than twice in a row. so now there’s this big punishment for me losing, where i’m barred from matchmaking and have to slog thru a braindead bot game!
its a huge morale killer for me. these games have zero threats for me to react to and no back and forth of any kind so it’s impossible for me to find the fun moments i like. i go into the game knowing it won’t be fun. i would argue this is a bad quality for hearthstone to have!
idk if any devs check the eu forums for feedback but my biggest ever hope for this game would be that you add a way to opt out of bot games! ive been playing since naxxramas (the first one) and i’ve never felt so negatively about a design decision in this game before.

I reported EVERY bot i encountered. I heard something from Savjz and im not sure, but are these bots from Blizzard? Its just stupid. The first ~10 games i played in ranked were 8 bot games, cause i only played wild 2 seasons. Was absolutely no FUN!
And yes they have to include that option to not encounter bots! (if its from ?Blizzard?) If u think about it, u play ranked and the first few games are just bots. WTH is… Worst choice they made till now!
they are from blizzard yeah. example from patch notes of 26.0: “Fixed a bug where bots on ladder could sometimes start the game with 40 Health.”

Partly right, but mostly wrong.
There is a metric, but there is no punishment. The reason Blizzard has introduced bots is to help keep queue times to an acceptable length. You will be matched with a bot if there is no human player of comparable skill who wants to start a game at the same time as you do.
Higher ranks (I think Platinum and up) have no Blizzard bots. So if you win enough games to climb to Platinum (and to be honest, winning against those Blizzard bots is hardly a challenge), then you should be able to gain enough ranks to start meeting human players again.

then it’s a punishment for not playing every month. that’s not a solution, that’s a different problem!
I am Gold 10 now and i just faced another bot. How is ranking supposed to be rewarding if im still facing bots! I dont mind waiting 5 minutes. Just get these stupid bots out! Right now i only face people that cant play or bots. What is this?!
