I am unable to buy the battlepass either in the game or in the shop, it’s telling me that unfortunately, I can’t buy the battlepass for the moment and it seems, from who I talked with, it’s the same for other Belgians so I guess it’s a matter of law and regulations but why was there no communication on that?

Have the same issue, if this is true, me and my friends will no longer play Hearthstone. The fact that other players will have the rerolls and 4 heroes makes it unbalanced.

Same issue. Don’t know if a recent law changed, but I thought this would be fine as it clearly say’s what you get in the season pass.
If I can’t buy it I prob won’t play it as the 2 extra hero choices make a big difference.

Apparently, the reroll tokens would be classified under gambling, that’s all I can see but idk

Apparently you might be able to circumvent the restriction by using a VPN but that might land you in legal trouble.
IANAL, but if you really wanted to waste your money that much, there is that option, I guess.
skip the rerolls if thats the problem,and just give us the 4 choices…Or bring duels back…The fun is gone now…

if the rerolls would be the problem, then they also wouldn’t be available in shop… just weird to have this happen without any notice or explaination

As stupid as it might seems it appears from this blizzard source that indeed we Belgians aren’t gonna get battlepasses for a while. All due to a useless reroll mechanic no one uses. Is this not discrimination if they allow others 4 heroes and Belgians only 2 because we are discluded from the option to buy the battlepass without tokens?
You can still earn them. Just because other countries have less lax gambling laws doesn’t mean you’re being discriminated against.

You cannot earn the extra hero slots, neither can you earn the cosmetics like the bartender etc. So yes, it is excluding part of the player base. And don’t go blame the gambling laws, blame the greed of Blizzard and other companies who embraced these practices. Anyway, me and my friends uninstalled everything Blizzard when the news was confirmed. Enough other games to play, sadly Hearthstone Battlegrounds will be missed as that was unique.
Well, I guess this is it. It’s as good as any other reason to stop this game.
It’ll save me money and time for more welcoming games.
This explains why my friend can’t access the shop but I am.
I live in Canada and I play on the Europe Servers to play with my friend in the Netherlands, and he can’t access the shop.
So… … what now Blizzard?
BUT Belgian streamers get special treatment because they get the battlepass gifted, now that’s a I call a true disadvantage, so “Streamerluck” actually got confirmed with this …
Must be to hard for blizzard to make a standard battlepass without the rerolls its a small indy company afterall, heck id settle for the option to buy the extra 2 hero slots because its a major disadvantage not having those, whats even worse is they still show the ones you can’t select, makes it even more frustrating when you are stuck with two crappy heroes and very limited rerolls.
Bought every battlepass so far, guess now is a good time to stop buying the standard one as well, great customer care blizzard, keep it up.
