Azerite snake at 6 mana steal 10 life, takes 4 cards to get through excavating. It takes 3 turns to deal 30 damage and you need 3 Brewmasters to complete the combo.
Sif is 6 mana deal upwards of 40 damage in one turn. It takes about 4-6 spell schools to really hit insane levels of damage. and you need a couple of low cost spells to hit the opponent with.
So for about the same amount of cards. Siff deals more damage and can happen earlier than azerite snake and does so in one turn instead of three turns.
There is the same amount of counter play versus the two cards. Try to steal or dirty rat them out of the hand. Which is very unlikely and total RNG. Or try to kill the opponent before turn 6.
I am happy that the snake got nerfed even though warlock is my favorite class and I won a lot with it. It was unhealthy for the game and unfun to play against.
However I strongly wish that Sif could get adjusted. This card is just as strong as the 6 mana snake if not stronger and it is equally unfun to play against.
