Conniving Conman do not cast any mage spells
If you mean for your own class… then yes… it has been changed to do not repeat your class cards anymore… it can replay only cards from another class now… so it was basically killed… just like Sea Shill… read the last patchnotes maybe.

It not well written in the patch note, the card itself is a rogue card and it says replay the last card you played from another class so if i play a rogue card say sea shill, it will cast the card even tho its the same class, but the info on the card says another class and as far as i see it mage is a diffrent class from rogue. But when i cast any mage spell or card the on the turn before the conman dosnt accept it.
