C'Thun + Tell a Story(+2/+2 buff) not work

Hello i played dalaran heist and picked C’thun. Then from Bartender Bob i picked Tell a Story buff +2/+2 for C’thun. Can someone tell me please, why he doesn’t have this buff fo other cards synergies? Thanks for answers. :slight_smile:

The Tell a Story buff can be applied to any minion (if it gets drawn during the Bob encounter. It synergises nicely with C’Thuns battlecry, but is not a C’Thun exclusive card/synergy

I think what they meant is this buff is not being counted towards other cthun synergy cards (as in cards that need cthun to be 10 or attack or higher arent having this buff added so the requirement isnt bring met)

So after looking into it my self, bob buffs do not count towards a cthuns total stats if cthun is buffed from a bob card, i think this might be a bug
And before you say its because it not a cthun card, if a cthun is buffed in a deck by a non cthun card like mistcaller, the “cthun is buffed” effect will go off, i think this bug is happrning because cthun is already buffed so it wont register, however once cthun is in your hand the game will register the buff but still wont apply to his total added buffs

I assume from this report that you buffed C’Thun itself, then played another card that has a Battlecry “If your C’Thun has 10 attack or more …”, and it didn’t work. Is that the correct interpretation?

I have seen similar reports before with other cards that affect stats of cards in your deck. Both up and down. It appears that internally, the “does C’Thun have 10 or more attack” test is done by counting “was his attack increased by 4 or more”. But that is just a suspicion.

I encourage you to report this issue on the Bug Report forum (https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/hearthstone/c/bug-report). If possible, provide screenshots or an hsreplay.net link. (Note that there is a sticky post on that forum with instructions on how to share screenshots or replays).
