Darkmoon Faire Event Predatory

It seems Blizzard has stooped to an all time low not only do we get to “buy” packs which 90% of them are duplicates now they have incorporated there own slot machine which basically costs £1.79 per roll…

Im sorry Blizzard I was fine with the packs but then to add a slot machine event also is a new all time low and so predatory upon children (Lets be real all the flashing lights and bright colours are there to entice children to request money from their parents to buy these things)

Runestones should be tradeable via in-game gold at a ridiculous rate even would be better than a flat out " You must pay to roll the dice" is disgusting, As an adult I know what is going on but children will not be so wise to this…

Its illigal in the Eu to offer gambling for children… alot of games got fined for offering “gamble” packs with ingame currency only obtainable with money… one of them the big bad Fortnite got major fines. i might just report this to authorities yes

Let us know how it goes, Psyca. The usage of ingame currency makes it murky in legal areas. I hope you succeed in getting Blizz to back down from it, Runestones were always a mistake.

Wonderful comment…The game is bad in every aspect, and they added this to it. Over the years, everyone has written many things, but nothing changes. New surprises keep coming.

The main issue is it’s not a murky thing because the runestones can ONLY be bought with real money so they are basically saying “Buy 200 Runestones for £1.79” to basically roll this slot machine and see if you get something good, This amount to pure real money gambling as there is no way to get Runestones other than buying them.

So this as far as I can see is illegal behaviour by Blizzard I am not sure what the law states in the UK but I can see some countries this is 100% illegal.

And because the game is not an 18 rated game then gambling systems cannot be present I do not even know that if they have a gambling system like this then this can be considered and has to be subject to the same laws as Casino,s, Lotterys and other forms of Gambling entertainment.

Although the law is a bit murky here because its not a case of “You can lose all your money you are guarantee’d to get something maybe not what you wanted so spend another 1.79 to spin again” So this might be how they circumvent the gambling law because unlike a scratch card or lottery you can lose all your money and win nothing, but with this you get something even if its a consolation prize.
