Disenchant useless legendaries!

Hello blizzard .i like you alot and this amazing game.
i have a request and its really important for me because i need dust and i have some useless legendaries like this bad card:( ZYLE ) and sn1p sn4p and some more. pls let us disenchant them special this ‘‘zyle clock of shadow’’
Zyle is trash really. i spent about 3k dust to get it and i thought i could disenchant it and take 1600 dust becuase of it but now i have it and i dont play with it becuase of its trash decks. its rly useless for me and think for all pls let us disenchant it…

Both Zayle, Shadow Cloak and SN1P-SN4P are “special” legendary cards. The golden version of them is not craftable, which means you can’t create it from dust, and you can’t disenchant it to get dust back.
You received golden Zayle for completing the Dalaran Heist adventure, and you received golden SN1P-SN4P for logging on in a specific period. Since these were given as a gift, you can either use it or not, but not disenchant it. And those that don’t got it as a gift cannot create it. (They can create the non-golden version though).

You write that you spent 3k dust to create Zayle, which I think is a mistake. If you created the non-golden one (which is possible), then you paid 1600 dust for it. And as for any legendary, disenchanting it will return 400 dust to you, the rest is lost.
For normal legendaries, 3k dust (3200 to be exact) is what you would pay to craft a golden version (and disenchanting would return 1600). But as explained, Zayle cannot be crafted or disenchanted so there is no way you could have spent 3200 dust to get it.

i got it from dalaran but its bad and useless and i dont want it :frowning: i just want dis it its not hard rly!! my question is why i must keep a useless golden legendary card when i dont want it!!

So you got something for free (on top of the adventure) and because you don’t like it, you want to get something else instead?

yea i play on wild and zyle is useless for me and its bad for std too becasue of trash decks

I’m gonna take a guess and say he meant he has spent 3k gold to get it (2800 gold to buy the whole adventure).

anyway, I tried to come up with an explanation that took the whole picture into account, but I’ve run into a problem: vargoth.

as we know, if we get a random legendary (say from a release event), we can dust it.

if we get a specific card (zayle, snipsnap, c’thun), we can’t dust it.

however we can dust vargoth, which is a regular copy like c’thun and it is only available in a specific time frame like snipsnap.

so I wouldn’t ask “why can’t we dust zayle?”, but rather “why can we dust vargoth?”

another small point on topic: the dalaran heist announcement didn’t say something like “you get a golden zayle”, but “Add a Golden Zayle, Shadow Cloak collectible card to your collection”. in the first case I’d have assumed it’d be dustable, but the way it was worded I wouldn’t assume that he is entitled to dusting it because the ‘contract’ is already fulfilled when he has the card in his collection. but I assume OP will see it differently.

or maybe the key is the term ‘collectible card’, which might imply that it is not tradeable for dust (much like ‘collectible card game’ vs ‘trading card game’).

There are 2 sayings that come to mind here

First…“You should never look a gift horse in the mouth”. You’ve got free stuff…stop complaining about it.

Second…….“You can please some of the people all the time and all the people some of the time, but you can’t please all the people all the time”. Sections of the community have been complaining for ages that they didn’t get enough back from Blizzard for playing and supporting their game…….now when they give them what they ask for and give back to the community…sections of the community complains about what they’ve been given.

But as a final note to the OP…Sn1p Sn4ap is far from useless, and Zayle (and Whizzbang for that matter) are extremely useful in new expansions to test out different types of meta deck without having to fork out a shed load of gold/dust to experiment with decks. Just because you haven’t seen the value in something, doesn’t mean it’s not valuable

Because unlike the others, you can get it from packs. That’s the only reason I’m aware that can explain this inconsistency.

Yeah, I used Whizbang when I returned and didn’t know what the meta was about. As for Zayle, I have a deck with it just to play with friends. Getting unknown matchups can be a lot of fun!

The issue here is, OP and many people in the community, look at each thing that happens in the game from their own perspective, as if no one else existed. As you say, Rayven, they can’t please all of the people all of the time. There are a couple of portuguese sayings that fit here… but they sound awful in english. :smiley:

Snip snap i one of the best mechs out there pal, so far from useless, that probably is better that you are not allowed to dust it.

WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?! Oh the humanity! It was never good, but for couple of days in start of the expansion it came with… w8 a second… it’s not craftabale… what…how did you managed that, boooy!?

I looked up that Zayle was non-DE, which they did let us know when questioned pre-wing 1 and kept my 2800 gold.

the tradition is we get a random legendary for free, Vargoth was given instead of that random legendary, just to show how not special at all that cocky bastard is

and snip-snap is around as good as Ziliax, it’s run by decks with no mechs and often played on 3 as a 3 mana 2/3 that gives the 2 1/1’s, I’d say it’s compared to Cairne Bloodhoof but usually people just say it’s better than him

I know your answer: that you want to have it and disenchant it. However that is not an option historically. Those legendaries have a purpose, they are free, they cannot be opened in packs and therefore they cannot be disenchanted.

So far you didn’t show us profound knowledge and understanding of the game and it’s meta to take this seriously. Besdies… for the Xth time - it’s a gift, if you so badly need the dust - just take your wallet and buy some packs. Studies show, that finding even a low paid job, nets you more value per hour, then grinding the game with 100% win rates. Basicly for a week, flipping harburgers in MCDonalds, or selling ice cream or mowing grass you would have enough to buy the expansions, another 40 packs bundle and have some spare.

I highly doubt that, the decks will be updated when a new expansion is out just like how whizbang had its decks changed with every expansion
