Do rogues get sap on turn 1 every time?

Is it like a special rogue card that is always in hand? I can’t remember the last time I played a rogue that didn’t have it turn one.

I usually beat rogues this is a genuine question

Rogue - Sap
Priest - Northshire Cleric
Reno Jakson - Max 9 Mana ( Opp. hand )
Warlock - Kobold Librarian
Warlock - Defile % 99.99999999.
Warrior - Eternium Rover
I can give more examples…For some reason ( I don’t know either ) When the game starts, you have it
( mostly )

The game is rigged I think.

no, they don’t. I doubt they play it in the early game though. and once you’re beyond turn 5, you have a pretty high chance to have drawn a 2-of card. for example if you hard mulligan for a 2-of card, you have it with a 73.5% probability by turn 7.

I’ve played Rogue on and off over the past years. And I can assure you, Sap is not guaranteed to be in hand. Especially when I run a deck with only a single copy.

If I do have the Sap in hand, and I manage to use it on a nice and juice target, it can be quite devastating. Which is why my opponents will remember those games.
When I don’t have it in hand, I sometimes have other removal (it’s one of the strengths of the Rogue class after all), in which case the opponent will not remember it as “the game where the Rogue had no Sap”, but as “the game where the Rogue played five cheap cards and cleared my entire board”. And others times, I have nothing, and then the opponent will remember it as “the game where I beat the Rogue”, and again not as “the game where the Rogue had no Sap”.
