Duels Treasure "Ring of Phaseshifting" BUG

In Duels there is a passive treasure called “Ring of Phaseshifting” it generates a random legendary minion in your hand whenever you play a legendary minion.

I played “Murloc Holmes” which has the appearence of a Legendary Minion even though he is a non-collectible card. It didn’t generate a new card though.

This should either be fixed or clarified.

Legendary cards have an orange gem. I am pretty sure this information is shown on screen in the game at some point. (Perhaps during the introduction levels, or perhaps as one of the tips that appears while the wheel is spinning for a match).

Murloc Holmes does not have an orange gem. It has no gem at all, in fact. So it’s not a Legendary minion.

Cards like murloc holmes work with disks of legend, they should work with ring of phaseshifting as well

Legendary cards are defined by their border as much as their gem color. The fact that they are counted as legendary cards in every other regard is clearly an inconsistency and clear evidence of a bug. That it hasn’t been addressed or fixed in 4 months is alarming.

More than likely they just inputted existing legendary cards and forgot to add non-collectible cards that originate from modes like Duels. Twin Emperor Vek’linash, the other 4/6 C’thun taunt also has a dragon border and no gem. I bet if you added him to your hand and played him it also wouldn’t trigger Ring of Phase’s power

Four months?
Try eight years instead. That’s how long ago the game was released. And ever since release, it has been gem colour and gem colour only that decides whether a card is legendary or not.

Which, in my opinion, makes it really rather likely that you are wrong, that this is not a bug or oversight but a deliberate choice.
Or else, perhaps, you can explain why they actually actively removed the gem from the standard card template when designing the exact same cards they “forgot to add”.
