Greetings!
First, I wish to thank Blizzard for this awesome game that kept me hooked since October 2015 when I discovered it.
Congratulations for your work: game design, storyline, graphics and animation… and always seeking to improve, renew the game, creating new modes… so that everyone could play the way that suits them the best.
The Core set you introduced in the last patch really brings novelty, and the opportunity to have the neutral cards in their golden version with the ´Great Victory’ achievement depending on the number of ranked victories is cool. What a nice surprise!
Which brings me to the reason of my message. Two days after the release of the Core, a lot of cards disappeared from the collection, namely the craftable versions of the now-Core cards.
Now, this was a very bad surprise to me, an unpleasant feeling of intrusion.
I understand that you did so to ´clean’ the collections, but why didn’t you advise us before? This way we could have dusted the said cards.
Ok, you added new cards to our collections for free. But they are uncraftable, and thus you arbitrarily interfered with our overall dust wealth.
For example: I had the golden Lord Jaraxxus. Since he is now in the Core, the craftable card has been removed from my collection, and so I lost 1600 potential dust units, in the case I would wish to dust this card, because the golden Core Jaraxxus is uncraftable.
And of course this is just an example, I lost many other cards (normal and golden) gathered during five years.
I have waited for an in-game message from Bllizzard or a forum thread about this problem, but didn’t find one, so I wrote it myself.
Could you please consider giving players a compensation for the lost dust value? This would be very kind from you.
Thank you for your attention,
Best regards,
Roldaice
Lord Jaraxus has rotated out of Standard. Try filtering for Wild cards and you’ll likely find him there. The classic collection was not deleted, it rotated out.
Hi Vlad,
Thank you for your answer.
No, I already checked my whole collection time and again before posting (and once again), but the cards have disappeared.
(And Jaraxxus is in the Core, so he’s in Standard.
Then something weird happened because Classic cards were not deleted. Maybe contact support?
Yeah you’re the only person it’s effected. The only complaint I’ve seen from people is that they’ve got too many copies now, so it clogs their collection when deck building.
Just to triple check, if you go to you collection, change it to wild and then chose the ‘legacy’ set, are there any non previously basic cards there? Skip past demon hunter as most of them were the ones given to us, but you should see the rest there.
Well, yes and no. You can have Jaraxxus from the Core Set (playable in Standard and Wild) and Jaraxxus from the Legacy set (playable in Wild and Classic).
It seems to me that Blizzard has fixed the card display. When I select “Wild cards” in the collection manager, I see “Core” copies, but not “Legacy” copies. So maybe a tip: select “Legacy Set” in the filter. Are those missing cards there?
Note: to see the set a card comes from, right-click it.
If you still are not able to find your Jaraxxus, probably a time for a support case.
Wow! Thank you very much for all your answers.
Indeed, my cards are still there, I see them if I filter on Legacy.
What puzzled me is that for me, the Wild included all the cards. But I understand that it’s no longer true.
Maybe I won’t be the only one to look over this subtlety (a friend of mine playing Hearthstone also believed his cards have been removed).
Thus I have a suggestion for the developers (if they read this post). For the next update, you could add a choice in the filter of the collection manager: ‘All cards’, showing the entirety of the collection.
Thanks again everybody, and good games!

My guess is that in the last patch they added something to stop 4 (in some scenarios 6) copies of the same card appearing in the collection as people were complaining about it. So it probably is for the best, even if it means you have to go hunting for the odd card to dust because you don’t care enough about wild/classic/duels etc.
(core, core gold, legacy, legacy gold, classic, classic gold)
