Favorite moment in hearthstone?

i have played hearthstone for maybe one and a half years now and i don’t regret playing it, and i can’t wait for ‘’ year of the dragon ‘’ to begin!

so i wanted to share my favorite moment in hearthstone

one time i played tavern brawl with my friend and the rules was that you got a random deck with random minions but you always had 3 copies of those minions in your deck.

so i played a game with my friend and i got Feugen and Stalagg

i didn’t know that those cards even existed so i was like ‘’ oh cool ‘’ and i killed both of them and got a 11/11 minion

BUT

i had 2 more of each minion in my deck and if you have killed both of them in a game then you only have to kill either of them again to get one more 11/11

so the game ended with me having like 5 11/11 on board. for me that was super funny and interesting

so that’s my favorite moment in hearthstone. what’s your favorite moment? please let me know, because i love to read that sort of stuff!

thanks for reading!

Achieving a solid stream of Thaddius (the 11/11) sure feels awesome, not so awesome for the opponnent haha.

My favourite moments are always with my Mental-Benedictus Priest deck. When I manage to beat my opponent using his own cards to achieve his win condition against him, that’s a brutal feeling.

My second favourite moment with the same deck, when getting milled to hell by a mill-rogue, managing to not burn Benedictus. Then using Benedictus to copy his deck while making sure he can’t obtain a copy of him (mostly using cards from that mill-deck, like Shadowstep or Youthful Brewmaster).
When a mill-rogue realizes he can’t fatigue me, and then realizes that indeed I can fatigue him with all the Oracles I shuffled from his deck into mine. That moment when he concedes is priceless.

(Edit) Honorable mention: Facing other mind-priest with my mind-priest, or rogues that obtain Benedictus. Plenty of Benedictuses are played and die. Both decks have always 50+ card. Strong minions and board clears rain every turn. And some times, the match reaches hilariously the turn limit and ends with a draw

2 of my funniest moments are probably:

  1. An opponent playing Marin the Fox and me buffing the chest and proceeding to beat him to death with it.

  2. Playing a game in casual as a paladin. just to complete a quest and didn’t mind if I won or not. My opponent (priest) seemed to notice what I was doing as I was just throwing out minions and not attacking face, so they didn’t lethal me as I continued to play cards. At some point during the game my opponent played a Scaled Nightmare so, just for kicks, I decided to start using my buff cards on it to see how high I could get its attack before I died. My opponent, noticing what I was doing, proceeded to do the same. We managed to get its attack to over 5 million before I died :joy:

When Firebat won the championship, and when Pavel won other tournaments cause that championship was kinda broken, I liked Pavel, but after he left I was also left only with Firebat (my favorite) and I can rejoice in every victory that his sweet a** brings to the aggro players!

I also like when certain players loose >:) but I try to remain positive

I really liked Pavel as a player too. Don’t know if it was just me, but every time I watched in him a tournament he seemed to get the WORST card draw. I can’t remember which tournament I watched him win, it was one of the choose a champion ones, but he got awful card draw in most of his games and literally scraped through every round

I know, that’s what I loved about him, he did have some decks such as pirate warrior though which were pretty much like the decks today (draw good->win; draw bad->not win) but I liked to see that draw isn’t really as important, still, he had some amazing RNG too, that’s why he was knows as the king of RNG for a while

the first one made me laugh out loud. thank you so much for sharing XD

How can you put links into your comment it says i can’t do it.

A limited number of websites is whitelisted.

For other sites, the method I use is to enclose the link between backtick characters, like this: example link. That makes it preformatted text which is non-clickable. In case you need help finding the backtick character, it looks like this: `

A method I have seen others use is to click the “preformatted text” button in the formatting bar (</>), which either adds those tickmarks automatically or puts the link on a separate line with a bunch of spaces in front - same effect but now no longer inline.

I hope this helps

On may forst few days i was dumb enough to play marin against an inner fire Priest  needless to say is that i didnt do the same mistake twice

One of my favourites which didnt happen to me but i watched it was the guy who played a 10/x lifeleech minion against a token deck with about 3 or 4 token on board.

The token deck was under 10 live and the priest feck with the full health was at 30

Then he played that shadowpriest that turns healing into dmg

Next round he suprisingly lost rather unexpected

That actually surprises me. I didn’t think lifesteal worked that way in as much as it steals life and is not actually healing therefore wouldn’t be affected by that? Well, you learn something new every day

Hearthstone game mechanics tend to interpreted quite literally.

Lifesteal: Damage dealt also heals your hero.
Embrace the Shadow (assuming that’s the one you used): This turn, your healing effects deal damage instead.

Auchenai Phantasm uses the same wording, but as a battlecry.
Auchenai Soulpriest uses different wording, which might be considered confusing in this context since he does have the exact same effect.

My number one favorite moment in Hearthstone was when I hit Legend with my own deck. The first time that I made Legend, I had netdecked a Murloc Paladin deck and basically didn’t tweak it at all. A few months later though, I decided to build Big Warrior. Woecleaver to pull out Ysera, the Lich King, Grommash, Charged Devilsaurs, Yip, etc. And then every Warrior removal and armor gain card that I could pack into that, and a single Dead Man’s Hand for control matches. I feasted on Odd Paladin, and I won right of my last ten games between rank 2 and Legend.

Getting Legend with my own deck felt a lot better than getting Legend with a netdeck.

My 1 time at legendary was with my own deck as well, went 15-0 from rank 3 0 stars eating secret aggro paladin (also going 15-0 against them total) but that final star took me 3 attempts and an extra 2 hours, including a brief trip back to rank 2. By the time I got there I was so burned out that I can’t even consider it a favourite moment :disappointed_relieved:

Maybe getting 9 wins, when that was the max in arena? Actually felt like an achievement way back then.

As for single games, as someone who specialises in stupidity, they’ve all kinda blurred together. From a pro? That one play by Reynad always jumps to mind.

That surprised me very well as well  imagine the othe r guy

I just remembered another one of my funniest moments, back when I tried playing shaman for a bit during Kobolds. Getting ruined by an extremely aggressive hunter, had just managed a board clear, had barely managed to touch him and I was clinging on for dear life…he throws out a Bittertide Hydra…I play Volcano…thanks very much…next! :stuck_out_tongue:

Well quite the opposite from the thread title but since my elemental mage deck is 3/4 golden people try hard , i actually need to focus this time to obtain a win :S

Everytime i win against a hunter or a brainless “face face face” decks.
