Does anyone have any idea when Fireside Gatherings might be allowed again?
It’s been around 12 months now and things are starting to get back to normal in the UK at least afaik.
Shops etc have been open as normal for a couple of weeks now.
Obviously safety first but I wonder when we might be given some info on a ball park date?
Really want to pick up the Battle Ready Warlock deck and have my heart set on the Nemsy portrait to go with it 
For the last year you’ve been able to set up a personal fireside gathering during an expansions pre-release to open packs and get Nemsy, so worse case you should be able to do that for Augusts expansion.
Yes but afaik you the Taverns you can establish during lockdown are not eligible to validate your Tavern to make it reward Nemsy.
And due to lockdown and the restrictions on searching for gatherings etc, mean it’s impossible afaik to find an already established Tavern Host to set this up for you.
It also seems to suggest on the website that these private gatherings might even only be solo which would make it impossible to unlock Nemsy unless you had previously completed the steps to be a valid Tavern Host before the lockdown restrictions were in place.
Unless I’m missing something?

When lockdown started it seems Nemsy was available for free through the in game store for a short time; but I missed it with the whole pandemic thing going on - I’m hoping they might put it back on the store again some time, especially as it’s still the same situation after 1 year now.

I might be wrong but I thought you could get Nemsy (and the card back) that way.
I got Nemsy that way. I have no idea if that is still going, it was a long time ago.
Had you previously played 3 games in another Gathering to validate yourself as a Tavern Host before setting your own up alone to unlock Nemsy?
The site says only valid Gatherings set up by a validated host are eligible to receive the portrait, and as there is no way to play 3 games in a Gathering when you’re alone (afaik), there is no way to do this since Gatherings were disabled.
It would be great news if there is a way around this!
Would still suck to wait until the next set release but it’s better than having to wait for the world and Gatherings to go back to some normality :’)
Even better would be if Blizzard very kindly put Nemsy back on the in game store for a short time again 
Probably extremely unlikely though as it was pretty unique circumstances that led to Nemsy being offered on the store for free a year ago :’(
I did none of that. There was a Fireside Gathering near my work that was set up by one of my colleagues in a restaurant. I just went there, connected to the same wifi they were and played with people in the gathering for 30 minutes or so while eating hotdogs and chips. Next time I logged in I got the Nemsy.
Take into account this was years ago. I have not done any gatherings since then and I’m completely oblivious to what has changed, but at the time I basically just had to show up.
Meanwhile I used a GPS spoofer to place myself near a valid tavern and played a game.
Because apparently Hearthstone wasn’t something that Finns enjoyed near me and social awkwardness & lack of ability to host such events meant I couldn’t host a Tavern on my own. And yes, it was years ago, like with Vlad here.
For some people it is impossible to get to one of these gatherings.
The “Its Cozy By The Fire” achievement gets my OCD right up…
