The attack sequence in Battlegrounds is so broken it is bordering on cheating now. BG is luck and it’s even worse if you attack second most of the time.
It’s ridiculous. The player who attacks first has such a massive advantage that you’re chance to win is reduced to nothing. My ratio is at best 75% to attack second and that means I can’t progress in MMR.
I am constantly losing because my opponent attacks first. Why can’t it be more balanced?
No, I can’t see that. What Undead minion are you referring to? I am assuming it would be taunted up to ensure it dies. I can’t think of such a minion that could give such an advantage.
I’m referring to taunting another minion that then leaves space for other deathrattles to summon minions while letting the Reborn effect go through. Taunt a Leeroy to kill the Bonker, your own minion attacks and dies to summon something while Noisul buffs everything.
I feel this misses the point a little, the bonkers / rally effect would still have triggered, and your undead build while can be effective, still massively loses to the daemon damage scaling build which is mentioned by PSI above, however somebody obviously has to attack first and this should be something battlegrounds could easily track and balance to fix this issue
‘Taunt a Leeroy’. You first have to find a Leeroy and a Taunt spell. Who is that lucky? It never happens. Bonkers will attack once in any case which is a massive advantage already.
I have no issue with my opponent attacking first, but it must be more balanced. Why do I attack second 70% or more of the time?
Undead is a meme build, like Elementals. After the Anomalies update nothing has changed. If Quillboars are in, you play QBs. If not, you play Dragons. No QB or Dragons, you choose a random meme tribe.
While that is true, a single Bonker rally only becomes dangerous when 2 conditions are met:
The gems have been pumped to hell and back.
There’s a Bloodsnout to make apply extra gems.
Those do not always happen. Heck, sometimes the guy using Bonker isn’t even doing Quillboars, but transitioning to something else. One time I played a jacked up gem build but then played double stealth monstrosity and a Persistent Poet with a Wrathscale to boost the damage. I eventually sold Bonker and replaced it with an All-Seeing Elder and just won that way.
