Attention, Battleground players!
Please be aware that the Friend of a Friend minion is being removed from Battlegrounds in an upcoming hotfix patch, currently scheduled for this week.
A note from the Developers about this change:
"Friend of a Friend led to drastic power spikes when combined with Brann, and drove play patterns requiring an extremely high number of actions per turn. While we think there is room in the game for these types of strategies, in this case it proved too pervasive and game-warping for the overall health of the game.
We know that some players have really enjoyed Friend of a Friend. Looking forward, we think it’s important to continue to push the boundaries of the game and explore what we can bring into it, but we also think it’s important to try to respond quickly when we’ve pushed too far. Keep an eye out for exciting updates as we continue to explore and fine-tune Battlegrounds to make it the best game mode it can be!"
just goes to show you don’t test this stuff before release , any idiot would have seen the brann interaction , i swear team five are clueless , mind you if time wasting is now part of the reasoning for changes , then never ending secrets and yoggy doing his thing with brann , and the endless frog hopper , completely skipping your play phase time ,cant be far behind getting the boot also
Animations in general* must be cut tight imo.
Any end-game build that requires an above-average APM (Pirates with Hoggar, Murlocs with Bran, Elementals with free rerolls, etc.) is a struggle. Also, compared to previous versions of the game, animations are even slower now.
They could implement this by dynamically adjusting the duration of animations per person per turn per card (a.k.a. for each round, each player has a different animation time for each card or a category of cards - f.e. Murlocs ), based on the player’s board state, hand size, remaining recruit time, remaining gold, etc.
One day they might actually decide and do it hopefully.
