Galakrond Shaman WTF

Warning rage venting ahead

People complained about how Dr Boom Mad Genius gave all mechs rush and now shaman get some sick synergy through Shudderwock and Galakrond (here summon 4 x 8/8 with rush)… + a 5/2 attack weapon and a hero power which summons more Rush minions… even without the quest its the following.
2 x 8/8
1x 5/2 attack weapon
Hero power summon more rush

Come on Blizz who the hell designs these cards??

meanwhile Warlock Galakrond is a bag of crap summon 4 x 3/2 with no rush or even taunt or anything.

Why give us a absolutely piece of trash Galakrond, even the class cards that buff Galakrond are garbage, I mean who the f*** will play a 3 mana 1/1 which summons 2 x 1/1 meanwhile , Shaman just plays 2 x 5/6 with taunt.

Balance ffs…

Time to run with the OP class for now I think.

Please no replies unless you can compose a suitable answer to my venting, The venting is not meant to be taken seriously, But on a more relaxed note I do feel that the synergy between Shaman and Galakrond when combined with the quest is slightly imbalanced.

It’s a shame they nerf it because it’s far from OP.
It looks so when they can pull of the combo but try and play the deck even before whining about it.
Same happend with the shudderwock shaman before and it didn’t even could get more than a 50% winrate.
I realy hope it will not get nerfed to oblivion.

Agreed it’s broken and not fun to play. There is no skill involved just power creep. It’s as if this crap was not even play-tested.
Dev A: Hey lets bring pirate warrior back it was SOOO MUCH FUN!
Dev B: But people may not like that it was a tad op.
Dev A: No problem we will just make shaman so broken that no one will even notice.
Dev B: GREAT IDEA! Let’s do it!

I think it,s not about whether it is OP or not it,s about is it fun to play against no it,s not summoning 4 8/8,s with rush and getting a 5/2 weapon is an insane amount of power to play on 1 turn

Lets look at the “reliability” of achieving this.

Required Cards :
Shaman Quest,
Corrupt Elementalist,
Galakrond,
Kronx,
Shudderwock

Right lets start with the basics.

Quest is a guarantee,d card at the start of a game so 100% chance of getting this.

Shaman quest is SUPER easy to finish with the throwaway battlecries for 1 mana, So this is almost a guarantee to finish in time.

Galakgrond can also be “pulled” with Kronx for a 100% chance to find him

So we have 3 “weak” cards which can break this combo, You may not draw Kronx but then you can draw Galakrond himself.

but Galakrond himsefl offers so much value and power on the board after the 2 corrupt elementalists + quest have been played that Shudderwock is plain Greed and not really needed.

Corrupt Elementalist is a 2 of so you have a pretty good chance of drawing 1 or both of these in time.

Sure if Galakrond, Kronx and Shudderwock are your bottom 3 cards then this will struggle or against a SUPER aggressive aggro deck but then the Shaman does have enough tools to deal with early aggression, Hagathas Scheme, Lackeys, Lightning Storm(I know most people dont run this but they could), Sandstorm Elemental

But this an unlikely scenario, Shudder can carry the game himself with the value still being provided from the quest in the same respect Galakrond can offer the win by himself, So they have almost 2 ways to try and win the game.

Along with the healing they also possess.

By the same respect even as a Warlock player myself I will openly admit that Guldan was OP when he summoned full boards of voidlords or full boards of Doomguards and Skull of the manari was cheating out voidlords and by the same respect this is my reasoning why Galakrond Shaman is OP.

I totally agree. It is not as overpowered as people think. First few days I was winning most matches but since last couple of days I am loosing as people have ways to counteract the deck. Rogue and Warrior both seem more then capable at winning against Shaman. If shammy is nerfed to oblivion then I will be pissed off.

There should be Tech Cards to Counter this problem. It should be SO safe to add Tech Cards to Counter something if its overpowered. If it breaks the game completely atleast People will add Tech Cards to Counter it. Bad job blizz devs.
There is just no way that they playtest.
