Hearthstone statistics

Which websites do you people use? And for the life of me I can’t seem to find any kind of used methodology.

Myownexperience.hs.com
As well as the mainstream ones, but I mostly only trust VS and tempostorm just a bit

I used to look at viciousSyndicate. Nowadays I rarely look at statistics (apart from the stats of my own decks/games)

Thanks for making me feel like an idiot by clicking on your link, Sheercold.

I use HSReplay for specifics, like card statistics. I also use it for my own stuff: decks, replays, etc. For meta analysis, Vicious Syndicate is just extraordinary. I pretty much disregard everything else.

As far as methodology goes, what do you want to know, exactly?

A very, very detailed report. I only managed to find https://www.vicioussyndicate.com/drr/faq-data-reaper-report/ and it’s not even close to sufficient.

I just use VS and a couple of r/CompetitiveHS or r/hearthstone guides, some can be REALLY good.

Tempostorm is much worse imo, throwing “serious meta contender” everywhere and using outdated or just questionable decklists just isn’t my forte.

Statistics can be a valuable tool to those who know how to interpret and use them properly. However, as useful as statistics are, you shouldn’t use any one source as an absolute as even large databases are still prone to errors or even bias. It is always wise to look at statistics from several sources and draw comparisons between them

Quote: ‘Lies, damned lies, and statistics’

Ha ha it’s ironic that you quote a phrase that Mark Twain claimed was coined by Benjamin Disraeli, yet it was never proven that he ever coined that phrase. It could be argued that the quote itself is, in fact, a lie :stuck_out_tongue:

The meaning of the phrase is to describe the persuasive power of numbers, particularly statistics, to bolster weak arguments, as so commonly seen on here lol

I don’t actually use any, not often anyway. I just go with a gut feeling.

it has come to my attention that two people accessed my site
The fools!

Hence me asking for the methodology. I don’t know how others can just use ‘objective, unbiased data’ as an argument, without really knowing anything about said data at all.

I just love this

Yeah exactly.
5000 out of 5000 people questioned voted for Trump. Cold hard data.
Oh and by the way, the questionnaire was held at a Trump rally.

VS gets their data from games played with their tracker active (and HS decktracker, I think). They used to have more data on higher ranks than on lower ranks. Don’t know how it is now. Their tracker automatically spots the archetype of your deck, but I think it allows you to correct it (within certain limits)

Cough fanboy cough cough

To be clear, no one here will be able to provide an answer, what I need is a link to an in depth statistical analysis of how data was collected and processed.
