So i have reached the rank of knight and for the next rank i need 500 honor points.This means i need to play 50 games and lose them all or play 25 games and win them all cause 9 out of ten games i play with alliance opponent.So if i want to reach grand marshal how many games am i supposed to play?1000?for 1 rank?are you serious?

Well, to get to the maximum rank of Grand Marshal/High Warlord you need a total of 7200 Honor. So assuming you lose all your games you’d need 720 games to get there. If they were against the same faction as you and you won all of them, you’d need half as many, so 360. If they were all against the opposing faction and won, you’d halve that number again to 180.
But you also need to keep in mind that when you gain an honor rank, any extra honor you might have gotten does not carry over to the next rank, so you probably need to add some extra games to that counter. The last 2 ranks require 900 and 1400 honor respectively, so we do the calculations again: Losses only = 90/140, Wins = 45/70, Wins VS Other Faction = 22.5/35 games to reach those ranks.
All in all, if you play the game regularly, it doesn’t really seem too bad. Taking it all in steps is the best way to go about it. Just focus on the next rank and how many games you need for that. Any wins just speed up your progress.
The system just sucks. What does it matter what faction the other plays? You can’t choose it anyway. And what do you get? A couple of gold cards. Meh.
I chose Horde simply because I knew playing the games with an aggro deck I.e. if I used the legendary, would be faster. I’ve been surprised that I’ve faced a reasonable amount of alliance opponents but it doesn’t seem particularly one sided.
Im always happy with free stuff for just playing the game and in this case especially now they’re being fair and giving full dust if you packed the second legendary.
I think this honor system is mainly for fun only. 
I didn’t pay attention just played and already Grand Marshall is my next rank… Didn’t even care about leveling that thing… just played. You should do the same I think… However I have experienced a massive honor increase while played in arena for fun and because I had free tickets. Maybe it happened because arena matches are usually shorter than normal ones?

i feel like it goes quickly even tho i am just trying to get my weekly 5 wins in there. But honestly there is no need to grind out the honor. You get some free cards, wich you probably can’t even scrap. So its not like its giving you extra dust or gold
