I just made a video in BGs where with 2 Drakkari Enchanters my end-of-turn effects triggered only twice, however, every death rattle of my opponent triggered 4 times with 2 Barrons.
This is not a bug, MagicTurtle, this is how Drakkari works - it makes your end of turn effects trigger twice and thatâs it. This power is not cumulative.
Having two Drakkari Enchanters wonât change the final outcome (itâll still be âtrigger twiceâ).
Rivendare, on the other hand, is an âextra timeâ trigger, thus it sums up.
Minions below for ease of reference.
Hope this helps!
âYour end-of-turn effects trigger twiceâ per card, otherwise, Titusâs power may be easily read the same way, nowhere, absolutely nowhere is explicitly stated that only the Enchaterâs power is not cumulative. It makes no sense, every other card if played two of them has their powers doubled but exactly that one doesnât. This is a bug or just a convenient explanation, because I had other games where two of those correctly triggered âend of turnâ twice x2.
Are you sure it wasnât a game with Denathrius and the guy also got the âYour end of turn effects trigger twiceâ reward?
The logic behind golden cards in BGs is that two cards have doubled effects but take two spaces as 1 golden card has double effects but takes only 1 space and gives you a higher lvl discovery. Suddenly the Enchanter is excluded from this rule, and it is not stated anywhere.
Well there was always the stipulation that you canât double a double. This has carried over from base Hearthstone and remains so. It is partly the reason why the card text âan extra timeâ allows it. The old Baron Rivendare card used to have the same Drakkari-like text, till it was changed to the current Titus Rivendare style.
I have the same complaint/problem with the descriptions on the battleground cards. Make the actions clearer Blizzard, or start posting in the forums and lock the discussion about this type of action by minions.
Text on cards have always been an issue with HS.
Remember that HS is based on Magic the Gathering, a fact which Blizzard openly admits. Blizzard, when creating HS, specifically wanted to âsimplifyâ card text and avoid paragraphs of complicated sentences. If you have ever played MtG then you know what I am talking about.
In this effort to âdumb it downâ the negative consequence is that HS cards ended up with confusing text.
