No it isnt, as someone who uses it a lot most of the time it can be a bit underwhelming, it’s like you said before hearthstone is mostly rng, there is some skill factors but hearthstone is an rng based game, for example me and a friend both use the exact same deck, I’d say I have a %90 winrate as I only lose against demon hunter while my friend cant get a single win against any class or deck (seriosly it an exact copy of mine and he hasn’t gotten a single win with it while for me it carried me to gold rank)

Either accept hearthstone is a rng based game with small amounts of skill or find another game that you actually enjoy

How do you reconciliate those two statements?

If the same deck has a 90% win rate in your hands and a 0% win rate in the hands of your friend, then either you and he are the luckiest and unluckiest two people on earth, or skill accounts for more than just small amounts.

The 90% was an over-exaggeration but still point of me getting a lot of wins with it, and to be honest mine and his luck do kinda check out, the deck is a standard big druid type of deck, I always get the cards to discount or get more mana by the turn I need them while me friend never manages to get them or does get them but either to late or has really bad draw.
Not saying we are the luckiest and unluckiest but I’ve been known by friends to have a “leo factor” which basically means rng will favor me especially against friends while my other friend knows how unlucky he is and recently even considered quitting the game due to his luck.
Note just because I say i have high luck does not mean I will win if you decide to challange me on this on heartstone because that’s up to rng

Hearthstone has 30 cards with mechanics which have draw, battlecry, deathrattle, charge, lifesteal and so on. The idea is create a deck which plays in a certain way. The deck can be built in a way where you can have a higher % drawing what you want and a play style comes into play. The skill base comes into play when playing your opponent and figuring out what they going to play and so plan ahead. The RNG does effect a outcome and can sometimes destroy all your work in 1 turn but again then next turn RNG helps you out.

Heartstone is a bit like chess you can predict certain moves but something out of the blue sometimes does happen. The game is between 2 people and if you keeping losing at what ever Rank the best possible solution is to step back and look where you went wrong.

I just build hundreds of decks with certain classes and the amount of times I surprize the other player is alot. Net decking is around all you have to do is think outside the box and surprize people. The skill is in what do expect or think what if he gets RNG gods that turn. Just think and play the game for enjoyment losing is winning you learn expect it.

what pisses me off is that when I encounter a rush deck, all my cards to deal with rush stay hidden in the deck, and when I encounter stall decks I keep drawing my rush counter cards.
The game feels more and more like it’s the server dictating who wins by which cards it allows you to draw and how it uses the other supposedly RNG effects in the game.
It’s becoming increasingly unfun

The idea of building decks is package design. The Hunter class is an example phase stalker minion its a beast which draws secrets combined with Scavenger’s Ingenuity pulls Phase stalker to hand with buff. There are plenty of examples with each class where cards cross over and interact. The point is any deck you create needs some thought and not just hoping for the best.

Here is to hoping that every game developer that thinks RNG is a good component in a game ends up in a ditch on fire.

It blows my mind how much incompetence exists amongst developers in this god-damn industry. I hope a developer read this, and I want him/her to know that the industry would benefit from them quitting their job and never touching another game ever again.

Exactly!
The same thing is happening to me over and over again, especially in arena…two or three wins and after that from the first turn to the last all the good cards are hidden in a deck…on first turn it gives me cards with mana from six above and I cannot do nothing except using a hero power and when it finally starts to give me normal cards I am pretty much beaten…
And everything you said is true,it happens too often to say that it is just a bad luck…
Only thing logical that comes to my mind about all this s*it about HS is that Blizzard is purposly doing all this damage to players and HS 'cause they want to end this game for some reason only they know…

go and try gwent
waaaaaaay better than hs
less rng, and even with same decks every round is different as your resources are limitted.
and there is no such thing as aggro or 2h priest games

Well there is a number of other games out there…

If you dont enjoy hs, go play something else…

You dont have to inform everybody either.

Play what you enjoy. Have a good one

Wouldnt it hurt them (in terms of puplicuty) far more doing it like this instead of officially anouncing that they gave to do other things or what ever?

The game is dying because nobody is coming here to say they hate the game anymore. Everyone has already quit.

Play Rogue, your frustration level will be at it’s lowest.

cry me a river what a crybaby.s

Thankfully, these forums are not an estimate of Hearthstone’s popularity. This game will remain popular for a very long time unless for some reason, Blizzard decide to close the servers.

No game that is dying is releasing more and more new content every year.

Face it, Hearthstone is among the most popular Blizzard games out there and one of the most profitable too.
As long as Magic:The Gathering continues selling, so will Hearthstone.

Hearthstone has a clear edge over MTG as well. Each match is playable in much shorter time without needing to find opponents, setup time or having to shuffle cards and tokens.

I’ve been reading the game is dying since I started playing back in 2016 with the release of MSoG. People project into others what they feel. They are frustrated so others MUST be frustrated too and whoever isn’t feeling like they are is wrong.

I know from experience that a “game as a service” kind of product that is not meeting objectives simply gets content production stopped and later servers are shut down. There is a direct relationship between meeting objectives and continued content development. While there are plans for more content, there will be continued support for the game from its stakeholders. That’s the nature of the business. What each individual user thinks or feels is, for better and for worst, completely irrelevant.
