Hello everyone! I have invested in the game a lot of time and have made it to Rank Diamond 1. I can say that this is a very demanding thing to do and requires a lot of effort and strategic play. After many matches I have been asked by other players what is the exact composition of my Paladin deck with Baku the mooneater card. I can’t seem to find a quicker deck than this. I have defeated most players I have played with up to the sixth round! The only faster deck I’ ve seen is the rogue’s using pirates and the swordfish weapon. But I don’t like rogues. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
reaching legend doesn’t necessarily mean playing aggro control decks can do it too blizz just favours aggro for whatever reason
Hello friend. For the past 2 months I have been playing through diamond league unable to reach legend. The decks I have mostly faced are rush decks. The decks I couldn’t defeat easily were Lich King with Greymane and priest with shadowcloth needle. With my deck once I have four silver hand recruits in play and the opponent doesn’t remove them I buff them with either jury duty or quartermaster or warhorse trainer and it is usually game over for the opponent. Mage with secrets has a chance to resist if his deck is solid and also Rogue I have mentioned with King’s Bane or swordfish weapon. But I don’t like Rogues. I lose sometimes against druid build that reaches up to 20 mana crystals.
Mind posting your deck here? I have some suspicions about what cards you might be running and how to improve it.
Ok. It’s 2 promotion 2 Oh my Yogg 2 muster for battle 2 warhorse trainers 1 Lothraxion the redeemed 2 quartermasters 2 consecration 2 hidden wisdom 2 feast or famine 2 righteous cause 2 never surrender 2 Arcane golems 1 Baku the mooneater 2 Avenge 2 lost in the jungle and 2 Jury duty.
It might be best if you put the deck code in here too in the future. If you go to your deck, it should allow you to click it to copy it, then you can paste it here.
This is what it is currently: AAEBAZ8FAraeBp74Ag797gSD3gPtD8egBMD9AuwPnJ8EjZYFjK0DjpoD0gOMDsHiBLjHAgAA
For the moment, I’d like to ask, what cards have you felt like were the most impactful? Do you feel like you usually have the time to play Lothraxion, for instance, or does it feel like you seem to never have the opportunity to play him without losing too much pressure?
I am also interested by the inclusion of the Arcane Golems. Especially against slower decks it seems a bit weird to give them extra mana. Is it a finisher or for some other purpose? A finisher that requires the opponent to be at 4 health is rather difficult to get into even with a fast deck, so oftentimes you’d be forced to use those golems just to get into that breakpoint.
As such, I’d recommend Leeroy Jenkins instead. More attack and doesn’t give mana to the opponent, if you don’t mind the cost. 6 health on the opponent is a lot more forgiving of a breakpoint when your hand is empty and you’ve got nothing but the luck of the draw to tide you over.

Next I’d like to ask about the Consecrations. As you’re playing a faster kind of deck, having a card that clears the board of small stuff seems a bit weird instead of something that buffs your stuff even further to rush down the opponent. Especially if they’re playing big taunts which Consecration would not be all that good against as you’d still have to throw in some of your minions into it, Lothraxion buffs or no.
I’d probably replace it with something like Subdue against bigger targets or Carnival Barker to buff up those Silver Hand Recruits as you summon them.

Of course, as you noticed, Subdue costs 2 mana which means you can’t use it in a Baku deck. Which brings me to my last suggestion: Ditching Baku altogether and dropping in the Paladin Questline instead, Rise To The Occasion:

This would give you a weapon early on, then upgrade your hero power by as soon as the end of turn 3 and finally upgrade your Silver Hand Recruits with a permanent +2/+2 after the last step is completed and the reward is played (Which is also a nice and juicy 7/7, nothing to be scoffed at).
With this in mind, I made a deck that also included a bit of extra support for the questline in the form of Blessed Goods, which can progress the quest quickly by giving you a “free” step by giving you a Secret to play right after.

These are but a few ideas I have for improving the deck. Of course, depending on what cards you have, some of these might not be applicable but keep experimenting!
