Is hacking a thing in arena?

Hello guys
I am playing arena since some weeks. And i really like it. Mostly there are a couple of strong decks but nothing ‘special’.
Today i faced that one guy who was hitting me with 6 legendaries im a row. Starting off with the new Khadgar into Antonidas into…

He even destroyed his own Antonidas instantly with a spell. He was stupid or BMing, idk. Still this insane powerfull deck rekt me.
Does anyone else here think about something like hacking in arena? For example in draft. After this game it seems plausible to me…

Just asking. Have a nice day boys

Would be hard to tell since it is just rng on what you get, I have seen people get 3 legendary in arena while I never see legendarys when I make an arena deck, litteraly I’ve only gotten 1 legendary in arena which was kelthuzad and that was year’s ago back when naxxramas was in rotation

Actually Naxxramas is currently in rotation in Arena. So you could get a second chance to get lich boi.

Here are some stats, but yeah getting 6 legendary´s is pretty lucky and i dont face these amounts often, but maybe he got some through some card generation to ?

Appearance rate modifiers

A number of appearance rate modifiers affect the weights of cards at which they are chosen from their card buckets. These appearance rate modifiers are multiplicative with one another.

Update 14.0 - 04/09/19

Any given Arena draft pick will offer 3 cards from the same “Bucket”. There are currently 13 non-Legendary card buckets and 5 Legendary card buckets.
On average, Arena draft picks consist of about 79% Common, 15% Rare, 5% Epic, and 1% Legendary cards.
Your 1st, 10th, 20th, and 30th picks will be guaranteed to offer cards from Bucket 4 or higher.
Class cards receive an additional +50% increase in their appearance rate.
Spell and weapon cards OR cards from the latest Expansion receive an additional +50% increase in their appearance rate.
Neutral cards from the Classic and Basic set appear 50% less often.
These appearance rate modifiers are multiplicative.
The following cards are unavailable to be drafted in Arena

edit: linked the previous arena pool rules corrected now.

Hacking? Very unlikely. Since Heartstone is completely played on Blizzard’s servers, tampering with the game client will not help. You would actually need to find a backdoor te get around Blizzard’s security, then decode a lot of the stuff on those servers to reverse-engineer the game data, and then change it, all wihtout being exposed. While a very good hacker would probably be able to find a way, if determined enough, they are far more likely to go for targets that either result in more profit (if they are unethical hackers) or more exposure (if they are ethical hackers).

Arena drafts are random. That is partly the fun of the game mode, and sometimes also the frustration.

Six legendaries is extremely rare. But it is not impossible. So I guess your opponent ha a very lucky(*) draft.

(*) Luck as in: lots of highrolls that gave a choice of legendaries instead of a choice of non-legendaries. Not necessarily a better draft as a result; there are a lot of legendaries that are really not good at all, or that are only strong in specific combinations that are hard to get in Arena.

No it’s not.

Typically if you have deck with that many Legendaries, you end up getting rolled over any game you have a bad draw. So whilst their deck may look all flashy and impossible to beat, it’s probably not even a top tier arena deck. For instance you mention Khadgar and Antonidas, well I’ll take the basic, 0 dust , flamestrike over either of them practically every time.

That said in this one instance, either they drew particularly well or their deck just happen to match up well against yours, it happens.
