Hi.I have been playing hearthstone for one year and i have a decent colection.I leave the game one mounth ago because i didn thave time for it but now i could play it.Should i play it again?I don t have any of rise of shadows packs or gold for them.Is it worth playing the game anymore? Is it to p2w??Or is it f2p?
Its worth playing, yes. Standard Meta is relatively balanced. Dont worry if you 're broke, most Tier 1 RoS decks are cheap to make.
I quit a while ago, packs are hidiously expensive but the saddest part is that players pay out for it. I can pay ÂŁ60 on MTG cards and I actually own the cards and at least have some resale value.
If packs were reasonable prices I’d probably still play and blizzard would have my money but they got greedy. Sure you don’t need to pay to get packs, but your the grind for gold takes a long time (obviously because blizz want you to buy packs with money).
I’m sure there’s some actual F2P card games out there or just play MTG where your cards actually still hold some value.
Also the more expansions that come out the less they’re able to balance wild cards, so it’s within your interest to have new cards.
Well i play the game not too much. Maybe a few games a day and sometimes not even that.
I got 7500 gold from last expansion and so i got 75 packs in ros just for playing.
Enough to get nearly all commons and rares.
So yeah if you really go for the whole expansion, it will be expensive.
I know people buying 190 packs with money from a single expansion but you certanly dont have to.
Also yes the game is quite balanced right now but the meta seems to be still in the making.
Wont change the balance i assume but you have to be prepared that counter decks for stuff you like can be more popular any day
What, you really think Standard Meta is balanced
NO, believe me, as a veteran player in general gaming not just hearthstone. This game doesn’t worth the time or money you could invest. It’s worse and worse as years pass by.
which has to be the reason youre still here wasting your time posting in a forum of a game you dont enjoy …
explain me the reason behind that please
thank you
This question can’t be answered by anyone but you because it’s personal.
If everyone in the world told you it’s the best game ever and you should devote your life to it, yet you just don’t enjoy it, then it’s not worth playing for you.
The same holds true vice versa.
None of us can tell you if you’re gonna have a good time with HS if you come back to it. So I suggest trying your favorite deck in casual, where opponent’s deck selection is a bit more relaxed and take it from there.
If you want strong decks, there are a couple of cheap options atm. bomb hunter, token druid, zoo warlock and murloc shaman are decks around the 6k dust range fully fleshed out with legendaries. if you make budget versions of them, they’d be really cheap, even if you had to craft every single card in them.
If you need help with card replacements or deck choices or whatever, don’t hesitate to open another thread. there are a lot of people here who are both willing to help and know what they’re talking about
good luck and good times, wherever they may be!
If that was the case and i was the only person in the world that did not like it then i am convinced that i should be put into a mental asylum
Because some people just LOVE to play the victim
this is basically what happened before Artifact was released (and even before a single screenshot was available anywhere on the internet). there were very few voices that didn’t make it out to be the GOAT of card games and hardly any critical ones. those who were critical, were heavily criticized themselves, even on a rather personal level like in Reynad’s case.
in april, the whole game had an average player number of 200 and a peak of 390.
in short: sanity is a concept of majority.
The meta decks are cheap, so its worth it to begin and play
If you save the gold from just doing daily’s in between expansions that’s more than enough gold to buy 50-70 packs.
The game uses hidden spending motivation algorithm using in-game statistics. In a few words, it encourages to create new cards, makes a tips during battles what cards to craft via proper random cards and punishes players which aren’t doing so.
Welcome back to digital concentration camp.
Thats the most stupid thing i read in a long time.
I got the best stuff and results after i stoped paying and thinking that i need to have and do what the pros do…
Don’t expect any extraordinary changes in one month. It’s the same as always before.
if you like net decking and willing to switch to the newest OP class, then yes.
otherwise, you’ll just get pissed at balance issues
My answer is no… The game is now so f,*cking random, that play cubes us the same(too mucj rabdom effects on the cards). If you want plya cards go to MTG Arena-better rewarding system(easier grind for free players), no random(expect draw ofcourse). Play HS in these days is literaly like play head and tails with coin…HS is now boring, where all plyers play 4-5 decks around and around… RIP HS
Your choice, sink some money in or get what you want out of it f2p.
My personal objective is to play trash quest decks in casual every three days, get gold, buy packs on release and collect all the common and rare cards I can.
I meet that as I don’t care about conceding on 30 heatlh.
If you changed that to competing in any mode including ranked then, no I wouldn’t bother as I don’t have the patience/interest to play opponents with obvisouly and engineered overpowered decks.
You have to decide what you want out of it and if it is viable to achieve.
If you want to get to legendary without spending any money then I would have said you will get very frustrated.
People play games for fun. But fun is not the same for everyone.
I play F2P. My decks are mostly self-made. They are not competitive. I end most seasons between ranks 15-20, sometimes in the 10-15 range. And I spend more time playing Arena than I play Ranked.
But I have fun. I enjoy making fun decks and seeing how they fare. I enjoy playing Arena, both with strong and with weak decks. I enjoy looking at my hand and trying to figure out the best way to deal with the board.
For a lot of players, fun is defined in other ways. Posts on the forums have showed me that a lot of players need to climb the ranks and get to legend, or at least to rank 5, in order for the game to be fun to them. They become frustrated if they lose too often, which saps the fun.
If you are in that category, then you will probably need to get some Rise of Shadows cards. Do you have a lot of cards from older sets, or just a few? Do you have a lot of gold or dust on your account? Are you willing to pay money? Do you have cards from wild expansions that you are willing to disenchant or do you prefer to keep them so you can play wild if you want to?
Those are all questions for you to answer. They determine how good your chances are of making a few competitive decks that will allow you to climb the ranks. So if that (climbing the ranks) is needed for you to have fun, then the answers to those questions will tell you how likely you are to have fun if you return to Hearthstone.
Whatever you choose … enjoy Hearthstone, or enjoy whatever other game you choose to play if you opt not to return to Hearthstone!
