Is Patches still worth it?

well … yes …

i dont care if people hate me

3 days ago i again opened my journy to wild and played a fun little Deck which was called Patron Warrior and was spottlighted in the Out of Cards Wild Thread.

I made this Deck because it costed me 280 dust to complete.

I thought it doesnt have too many legends, its cheap and probably not too opressive… boy was i wrong the deck really can go nuts …

and i love it

just like i LOVE aggro and Tempo style of play. Im allready trying to figure out different things and techs because the only thing so far which was a problem was even shaman and mech hunter (i didnt get a single bigpriest so far but 2 dragon priests and one “steal” priest?)

so im going to the ladder and ill try how far i come.

But damn that pirate warrior is tempting …

Any of you play that deck? any of you can tell me if its still fast enough to kill controllish decks or highroll stuff like big priest or Darkest Hour Warlock (yes ive done my homework)

i am not only aware but also fine with the fact that there isnt a single deck which can win against everything but im at rank 19 so far and i dont know the meta which is coming in the higher ranks may i ever get there.

So can it pay off to craft the little octopuss thingy? im aware he doesnt have charge anymore but can he still pull his weight?

thx for all the non judging understanding comments which will come

xoxo

Yes, on both counts.

Patches is still great if you don’t draw it in a pirate deck. Losing the charge just stopped it being the opener for every deck.

damn was it really that extreme?

i think i have to get a few vids from 2 years ago …

Yeah, the pirate package was a viable opening for pretty much any deck, as it was the best opening.

No point in adding it to a control deck but it still works in agro decks, mainly KB rogue (RIP) and Pirate Warrior.

I had a KB rogue deck before the nerfs, it was a good opening combo with Southsea Deckhand.
